Post by: Holders on April 20, 2026, 06:26:34 PM
RIP anthropologist, author and broadcaster Desmond Morris aged 98. Among his achievements is making operant conditioning popular with the masses.

When we finally bought a TV Zoo Time was never missed. He seemed ancient then to a nine year old. Great presenter.

A very intelligent deep thinking man. I never missed Zoo Time. He always presented in a down to earth manner. His marriage lasted 66 years. RIP.

Once bought a painting for 5p, flogged it for 100K... the seller may have been a bit peeved!

I loved his books - The Naked Ape and especially The Human Zoo. I once quoted him in a psychology exam alongside Otto von Frisch. Everyone's heard of Morris' chimpanzees but not so many of the exploits of von Frisch's parakeet!
