Reds swoop for Smalling
United have agreed terms with Fulham to sign young central defender Chris Smalling.
The 20-year-old Greenwich-born defender will join the Reds from the start of the 2010/11 season.
A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Manchester United has agreed terms for the transfer of Chris Smalling from Fulham.
"Chris has agreed personal terms with the club and will join for the beginning of the 2010/2011 campaign. He will remain at Fulham until the end of the current season."
Wonder how much we're getting for him? Anyone know??

If Fergie had in reality discovered a gem in Chris Smalling then united could have signed him from Maidstone for Peanuts instead of having to pay Millions for what is a raw talent!
Get the Facts straight, Roy Hodgson and his team discovered Smalling and now Fulham have once again Mugged Manchester United for way over the odds just like Fulham did with the Saha deal!

Stunning news. A shame that we haven't had the chance to see him develop in a Fulham shirt but I don't think we can afford to turn down that sort of money.
As far as I can remember we got him for free so that's a pretty wonderful piece of business!
