Oh dear Fulham come on you whites
Apparently, Lady Luck has said "piss off" to us. This will ruin my entire day. I'll turn it back on at half to check in. Cork suckin son of a biscuit eater.
1 - 0 down. Giggs pen
standard, should be a great game from here.
We were lucky only to be 1-0 after 72 seconds.
This is going to be a bad day at the office I think. Maybe that means they'll give us no respect at the Cottage next week and we'll turn them over?
...or maybe they'll give us no respect at the Cottage next week and still put 4 past us.
Just great
yet another lovely backwards pass without looking....... well done
Here we go again. Same old.. same old. Don't know why we bother. We're our own worst enemies
Hopefully this is will boot us up the ass and maybe get back on level terms and take them back to our own back yard
The board would have melted down if it was Senderos handling the ball.

Thanks Aaron that made me smile and laugh for a second.. I needed that.
Can't believe this one bit. God in heaven...are you kidding me...
Awful start not playing to adly now. Look comfortable on the ball.
Riether's cross just now told me everything I needed to see.
A cross to an empty box and any Fulham players even in the general vicinity had their feet rooted to the spot.
i dont think its just senderos anymore. The whole team is playing badly. I bet we wont even have more than 2 shots on target
The original poster would be better to stay on ITV 1.
So would be rest of us !
Wow once again sidwell is the worst player on the pitch, what a surprise!
Why keep crossing the ball if there is no one in the box.
Quote from: grandad on January 26, 2013, 05:46:29 PM
Why keep crossing the ball if there is no one in the box.
Berbabtov should be in the box but like I have been saying for a while, he dsnt trust the team to supply him so he feels the need to step out of the box to get the ball...leaving no one in it
Our build up is not bad, a little slow, but where are our forwards? As for the Senderos remark, a Hughes mistake is uncharacteristic, a Senderos mistake is the norm
We are playing so slowly and sidwell looks poor. Patient build up but no conviction
Oh lordy lord...COYW!
Who is that mystery player in the box, he must be quick because the T.V. camera's can't pick him up?! :dead horse:
Is this willful sabotage? Two utterly deliberate handballs in the area already?
They should have had a 2nd penalty there. Clear cut.
I don't know what it is, we've got such an experienced side but we just don't look it at all. We're just making so many mistakes at the back and the two deliberate hand balls. I just dont get it.
what does this team practice during the week? Come match day we look clueless at times.
Sidwell's having a shocker.
Someone tell Sidwell we are the ones in white
We had a shot!
That wasn't far wide. I think Riether should shoot from distance more often
yeh and its our right back who is our best striker.
Does Baird want to play?
we just see Berba in a nutshell...
31st min, AMAZING control that only a few in the world can do followed by NO movenment after, he literally moved 5yards MAX from the centre circle and had no desire to join the attack
Baird & Sidwell are awful. Get Kara on before it´s too late.
It's going to be a l-o-o-n-n-n-g-g-g night.
Following the MK Dons and Luton exploits, and Aldershot going so close at Boro, I fancied the underdog in this one too but it's a mircale we are just the one down.
There's time yet...
Sidwell's distribution has been terrible....

i have noticed Sidwell seems to play awful when in the middle with Baird.... i think sometimes the Bairdinho thing has gone to his head lol he loves a 1st time flick around the corner which never seems to come off
Anyone in preston watching the game? Surrounded by arm chair united fans. Sole fulham man. Smashing.
Commentator summed it up, we break, we have no pace and we just go backwards on every break

I agree
ONE MAN IN THE BOX EVERY TIME...ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
watch Ruiz everytime h gets the ball he looks for Berba.. he either has no confidence or the team feel they MUST give it to berba which isnt always the best option
I don't think watching Fulham play is a very pleasant thing these days. Saying that i can't watch this match so am probably missing something wonderful
Our whole midfield have not been good enough so far. Keep it at 1-0 at half time then hopefully improve after the break. I'm not holding out much hope though.
Why is Riise constantly out of position?
Can we bring on 3 or 4 players from THEIR bench?

I like Sidwell, but he has the first touch of a friggin trampoline today. :031:
We have a few "decent" mid aged starters that aren't good enough anymore for the premier league. If they were horses......
Take Berbatov off and put someone up front who isn't too arrogant to play with other players.
Lets just have a bloody go.
Well if we cant beat this man utd side what hope do we have?
They are there to be beaten but it shows with our team we just do not have the quality.
Sidwell just does not have the vision to see ruiz and berba runs off the ball,
Baird average player, needs replacing
Hughes average player needs replacing
Sidwell average player needs replacing
Clear to see, no creativity, one shot on goal.

This is truly pathetic. The players look AGAIN like they have no idea what is expected. Just WHAT instructions does Jol give them? Just what does Jol work on at training??

it is Jol's fault. He cant get that we are very very bad defensively. I'd say defensively we are the worst team in the league. As such we need to play further back and on counters. I cant believe it. We have become a pub team.
It is not Jol´s fault he is strapped with a load of old past it players that have been with us for years. We need a wholesale influx of young decent players. Out must go Schwarzer, Hughes, Riise, Duff, Baird for starters.
Scholes on now - maybe he'll give us a consolation penalty ...
Funfact: Just passed 2,5 hours of football without a shot on goal. Impressive. And now we bring on Rodallega to seal the 3 hours mark.

I agree with that, but it was the reference to the United side that confused me, every one of their side would start in our team, easily.
I never thought much of Sidwell but he really is bloody awful
Sidwell is appalling today, retiher playing ok, cant believe roddelega is on didnt think it could get any worse till then
Where are the cruching tackles, and the desire to win the ball, havnt seen it in a long time, fcuk all this fair play sh1t and get stuck in and unsettle the opposition
Ok is safe to say it's time to Panic relegation here we come,
All our issues have come from the Riise's side. Why is he playing? Also, we dont need wide players away. We need to be better defensively. And now, Aaron Hughues, wow, I mean how do you allow Chicharito so much room. Say what you want, but I do miss Danny Murphy, at least he could pass unlike a few of our midfielders.
Can we get rid of Jol now?
Honestly, do you REALLY THINK that another manager couldn't do SOMETHING more with this squad? We cannot possibly get any worse so it wouldn't matter if we employed a child to take over the reigns as if we're going to be relegated it's going to happen with Jol at the helm anyway.
There is always the chance, slim though it might be, that a change in management might improve the situation.. A scrapper on a short term contract and try again next season with someone new in charge.
Jol is a total, utter, catastrophic Lawrie-Sanchez-esque disaster of a manager. He should be at a much better club like Schalke who deserve him.
Not looking forward to being in the Hammy for the rematch next weekend :(

I disagree.. With some sense of belief and tactical nous should at least be capable of performing at home.
I hate to say it, but unless we change SOMETHING, we are in danger of going down. This is embarrassingly bad. We look horrible. And this is our team for next weekend. Not like we put forth a weak side! No passion, no midfield, no eye towards goal. If I were coming up on a new contract, I can't say I would want to sign either...

Is it just me that always thinks we could win today, then get bought back to earth with a bang and left feeling deflated and pissed off with texts from mates rattling me about how dire we are

and why on earth do you believe that the 1/2 of the team to be dumped @ the end of the season would bother now to "dig deep & survive"
If they are that useless & demotivated then they won't bother, just take the pay cheque & hope to move on
What IS required is Jol to get a grip, prove he has some man management abilities & act to get us out of this mess - there is next week to actually achieve something as far as new signings
To reorganise, enthuse, direct, manage, motivate & provide some competition for places
To prove why MAF & the Board beleived he was the messiah, the chosen one
No one realistically expected us to get anything from today (although one can always hope)
So the games against West Ham & Norwich have huge significance
Unfortunately there is no time now to dump Jol - we have to stick with him
If he can perform a rescue act then it may be enough to keep him on
However,jury still out on that
I am a thunderstorm,I want warriors not just lovers - well bl##dy well DO something man!
Dejagah was by far Fulham's best player, even though he only played 20 minutes...
Since he came on the right-wing got involved and Fulham started playing with more energy and purpose going forward. He also had a few shots and won a couple corners.
Duff and Kacaniklic were both very poor.

The problem with a striker is theres not much he can do without decent service. Sidwell and Baird were awful today, they're just not good enough.
2 things....
1, when Sidwell and karagounis been getting MOTM last few games we still havent seen anything from our attackers
2, we dont have a STRIKER!!!!!
Kara has been good, but he's been getting MOTM for basically showing passion and work men like performances and a couple of wonder goals. In terms of build up play Kara, Sidwell and Baird offer nothing when breaking down defences.
Ruiz and Berba are this type of player. 1 or the other OR play both more less free roaming deep behind a STRIKER. Bored now anyway, I'm not the manager.

I think Duff is just finished physically, been playing top level football for 15 years and it has just caught up with him.
Kaca actively looked disinterested at times, wasn't making the runs he was early in the season.
Even if we get more dynamic in the centre of midfield, we'll need to play with real pace out wide to compensate for the relative lack of pace from Berba and Ruiz.
We do not look like a team, we could not even get together in the tunnel.
Let's be honest we have the oldest bloody team in the world. We have to rebuild, but money needs to be freed up and it isn't. Not suggesting we do a Pompey or Leeds, but you have to spend to stay in the premiership. All the clubs around us are. Villa might be the exception, but they were my pick at the beginning of the season to go down.
If you have thoughts of top 5 or 6 like Spurs you have to spend big money and they do. Gave us 22 million and it is still in the bank
It's like the team have been told that anytime they get the ball they must have a vision of Berba's undergarment against Southampton and do exactly what it says or be put in the under 21's and not spoken to again for the rest of their contract
On at least 3 occasions Ruiz got the ball in a nice position and decided to go sideways or even backwards to Berba despite players in front being in better positions.
When they get the ball they look almost uncomfortable like its find Berba or else. Maybe the pressure of playing with such a comfortable on the ball player, I don't know
Terrible on offense, terrible on defense. No shots on goal from open play...again. It's hard to believe these are the same players who looked so good in the first 1/4 of the season, they now appear to have zero ideas how to create chances and close to zero organization at the back to deny the opponent chances.
Based on current form, WHam could bludgeon us on Wednesday, and Man U must surely be looking forward to next weekend. The way things are going, I would welcome 1 point vs WHam and another 1 vs Norwich; Stoke should bully this lot off the pitch in half an hour. We are awful, but we may still avoid the drop; QPR and Villa are probably no better, and we only need one of Wigan, Reading, Newcastle and Norwich to stay/slip below us. There really are two divisions in the BPL this year, and we're established in the crap division.
And West ham must be full of confidence after there 5 - 1 thrashing!

My thoughts on that also. Looked a right old rabble. You could see from that we were not up for it.
" Oi gaffer, do we really have to ?"

but you can imagine that Big Sam will "motivate" them to make a positive response...
and of course, guess what,it's time to play Fulham who seem always to be over generous to the team that struggles, the forward that can't score, the defense that can't stop conceeding goals etc etc
We can of course have faith in MJ not to let this affect our team & ensure that we bag the 3 points - we can can't we?
Surely....
Warriors & Lovers unite
Just back in the door from an incredibly disappointing day out. One the fun side, it was nice to chat with some fellow Fulham fans, few drinks etc and the thrill of the day was the landing in Dublin tonight, as the pilot had to do a go-around. :yay: The wind was pretty strong to be fair! I spent the flight talking to a Carlisle United fan from Ireland who goes to most home games from Shannon in Ireland. He drives from Shannon to Dublin, which is well over 3 hours, flies to Manchester, gets the train from Manchester to Carlisle (2 hours) and does the opposite trip back, in the same day. He spoke very highly of us as a club.
Apart from that it was an extraordinarily disappointing performance. I don't mind spending money following the team home and away when the teams puts in a respectable shift but that performance today was abysmal. The whole team looked completely disinterested and disjointed. I am dreading Wednesday night and don't even get me started about next Saturday. Big Sam will be thanking God that he has us next on current form.
