Well, I can see this turning out to be a well thought, and constructive thread.

Same posters week after week even on home games moaning about the game

when one goes to away games one sees genuine support - at CC the support is pathetic and makes the players nervous -- and yes, the negativity did get to the players as well as KS

Two comments that make things far from simple. Simply because fans REALLY believe them.

1/ Anybody could have improved the team after Magath

2/  This squad was good enough to reach the play offs.

Until fans become realistic. They will always make things complicated.

You are very very critical of fellow supporters, away support is always better. Most clubs are like that. This season its been quiet at home but there hasnt been much to cheer about.

I think there are many glory hunting clubs out there who's genuine love for their club and loyalty should be questioned before anyone doubts our support. You dont support a club like fulham if you dont care enough.

The only pathetic thing at fulham is the running of the club itself, the fans take no blame

Got to say I feel a bit guilty at this point in time, you see after the initial managers bounce I along with the majority of CC was singing Kits name to the rafters.
Yes I even believed play offs were a distinct possibility, my my was I/we  wrong and we all should hold our heads in shame. fp.gif

There are a lot of posters on a matchday thread, for whom it is impossible for them to attend games.

During recent ill health, I followed a few games, home and away, where the only pleasure some seemed to get, was to constantly moan about everything Fulham, for example, yesterday, as soon as Fulham scored, he responded with "lucky, lucky Fulham". How did he know they were lucky, he wasn't there. He may well have been right but unless you are there, why come out with such a negative statement. Why not say we have taken our chance, they haven't

I am not criticising those who cannot attend games, I fully understand that for some it is impossible but do you have to instantly jump too the conclusion that if its Fulham, it must be wrong.

I think number two is absolutely rite we all had to lofty ambitions at the start of the campaign but that was fuelled by messages given out by the club

I don't agree  with point one though because I do believe anyone with an ounce of man management skills could have improved this team after Magath the destroyer. Magaths regime of segregation within the squad and treating the players as he did anyone could have improved the moral after that and with improved moral you will get improved results. Magath also sent out two of our three players with championship experience in Tunnicliffe and Kaca and sent an international captain in Ruiz to play with the kids. I thank kit for what he has done but alot is just common sense

It's impossible to prove of course but I honestly believe any manager could have produced the post-Magath bounce. Let's face it, Kit did it and he has proved to be a poor manager.

As for the squad, if it had been properly managed and 2 or 3 players had been added in January, we would certainly be much higher up the table. Top 6? Maybe, maybe not; but certainly not far off.

Team selection, formation, playing round pegs in round holes, and tactical awareness count for so much and Kit scores poorly on all of those.

Its not easy being a Fulham supporter either but that's what we do, for 51 years in my case and a lot longer for many on here.
Fulham may be a crap football team at the moment but they are my crap football team, and   they will always be my football club ( the best football club in the world) 049:gif 049:gif 049:gif 049:gif 049:gif COYW
