He seems relaxed ,confidant and competent . But my god the club is really encouraging us to speculate on conspiracy theories . The more they try to " normalise " making Grey`s appointment a natural progression the more senior coach title  becomes ambiguous.
Is he in to pacify the fans in the hope that he can pull off the results needed to push us up  the table,at which point they will feel free to appoint him head coach without us all being up in arms ? Are we really intending to find a new head coach ?
If we dont get a few good results then Rigg is really going to get some criticism  from all directions and quite rightly so . Sara trying to appease us fans is a bit insulting .
Look I hope he succeeds and I hope we can turn things around . But I think we would all like abit more transparency or at least honestly. All I want is for the club to succeed . Rigg has alot to do to convince me that he has what it takes . The squad is better than last year but we are still seriously lacking in some departments , and im not sure he sees it that way .
The first thing i would do is buy a decent defensive midfielder and and a keeper who can cope with crosses coming into his box , a good all  round wide player wouldnt do any harm either as would at least one full back who knows how to defend .

At last a press conference where we don't have to listen to how good their players are and what an experienced, well-organised outfit they are etc. Instead, he talks about us and what he is planning and training to achieve. Refreshing!

Obviously, we'd be naive to expect overnight results but I already feel better that at least someone is taking charge of the current situation on the field. I hope for a longer-term "Head Coach" appointment asap but it would be great if he can steady things meantime.

Oh please. Says the usual things and says them well enough. Nothing to see here but the usual by the book - training hard blah blah blah. Wish him all the best and hope the players can play a bit longer than 45 minutes and can put into practice what they have learned in training.

Having trouble finding any enthusiasm for tomorrow. But a good performance can change everything.

We all thought Grant talked a bit of sense also.

I am sorry Mr L but what on earth do you expect/want him to say, that we will not go into the game to win, the players can take it easy, etc. Yes of course it is easier to talk a good fight but surely this is the sort of thing the players want that good old word motivation comes in to mind.

Love him to hit the ground running and get a win tomorrow...... But I think we have to be patient and give him a few weeks to see where we are and if we can see some improvement, especially in our defending and goals conceded

Difficult for him not to improve on our defending and goals conceded

We don't have the players. Yes we signed Stearman and Ream, but neither are the best of aerial defenders. What we needed, was a commanding, experienced centre half that, we failed to sign.

Don't want or expect anything. I am just saying we have heard it all before and while I am pleased some fans seem to think it means more than it does. We can only go by the performance and result.

For me the depressing thing about that video is that at 1 minute 40 you can see that Curbishley is still around and involved.   What has he done for us that is of any use?

Yes, I have been thinking that for a while, Stearman and Ream were improvements on what we had but I wonder how they rank in a list of Championship central defenders. Also I still think Burn is needed in our defence to cover an aerial weakness.

The wide left position needs an outstanding player with pace and Cairny is no wide man , he really should be in a more central role.

No coach is going to make these short comings go away.

I listened to him many times last year and can't help but notice that he comes across tense and on edge, just like a new employee in probation period - which in effect he is. Good luck to him and the team tomorrow anyway.

we all said the same about grant, I'm avoiding what caretakers and certain directors have to say for the foreseeable future. It's results that count, not interviews

The one concrete thing that we know from what Symons said was that he was helping Dembele.

It is a weird obsession some posters have got with Curbishley. Just because we don't know exactly what he has been doing seems a pathetic excuse to keep having a go at him. I would hazard a guess that he knows more about football than 99% of us posters put together.

Grey does have a track record to back up his positive comments, and is known as a defending coach - our main problem -let's give him more than a couple of games to see what he can do.

If he does well, I would keep him on  at least until the end of the season, but the club seems intent on bringing in someone more high profile.

Not very interested in what he says .

VERY interested in how we play tomorrow . I will judge him on those 90+ minutes .

I live in hope of a happy journey home tomorrow but have no expectations .
