Personally I think we are going to get absolutely pumped, maybe 5 or 6 – 1 .
We won't change our style, which generally is a good thing, but we just aren't solid enough at the back yet to play a team like City this way. There's no shame in it mind they are a stunning team and shamefully I'm actually looking forward to seeing them live on Saturday when I head up to Manchester!
Worth pointing out that if we do get a drubbing that it won't have any reflection on our good performances to date or the season to come. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong anyway, COYW 😊

If there was a time to play city its after the international break with so many of their players travelling. We will need to ride our luck for a fair amount, but I reckon we can nick a goal to make it a 1-1 draw.

I'm going -it will be my second game of the season after Palace at home on Day1.
I was lucky enough to witness the brilliant come back at the Etiad from 2-0 down to win 3-2, at the start of the Great Escape.
But I'm not making any forcasts, just hope for a battling, skilful, tactically adept Fulham display, in which we are not over awed, but are able to show our own quality, and return to London with heads held high.

Well I'm going and I hope not to see a 5-0 drubbing like last time. As Corporal Jones used to say "They don't like it up 'em". Hopefully we'll come out and play football rather than sitting deep and hoping to hit them on the break. Because that way lies another 5-0.

I think it'll just be another case of "they took their chances and we didn't". I'm sure we will play some good stuff at times though.
We will tire in the second half after conceding goals at key times eg either side of half time and Mitrovic will cut a frustrated figure upfront as the supply to him eventually runs out.

I think it is one of those games that is unpredictable. It depends on what team they field as well as how we play. No prediction from me just hope
Well, Wolves gave them a good game, and got a well deserved draw. I know they were at home, but still. Let's all have some faith in our team. I won't predict the score, but I think we'll give them a good game.

If we were playing them a couple of months from now after Slav has had time to decide on his best back 4 I'd be a bit more optimistic. I think we'll lose 4-2 but play well. For these sorts of games I'd like us to play 2 holding midfielders and play a 4-2-3-1 formation because it has (at least at this stage) to be about damage limitation against the top sides. Don't want to get hit for 6 and the confidence hit that would accompany it.

We lose 2-1 but show a good all-round team effort.
General consensus on City fan forum is a comfortable win. They are mainly concerned with Mitrovic and are suggesting playing less experienced but more physical defenders as a counter. A handful agree we play good football so will be good game - but that our style will just play into their hands.

Agreed. We beat Wolves 2-0 and bossed the pitch. Citeh drew with Wolves. So, being that we are away I'll go for 2-1 us. Mitro to score before you have taken your seat and Schürrle with a casual, yet clinical 87 min strike.
Heart says win, head says loss. We are playing a great team so let's give them a good game.
If we scored first, I'm thinking we can at least get a draw.
What we lack in defensive skills may be boosted with an early confidence and motivation.
Our track record against the Top 6 in the Premiership/PL is dreadful.
Spurs a few weeks back was typical.
We huff and puff for 40 minutes, concede, possibly get one back but then collapse.
Very sadly, I just don't think we can adapt our style enough to hold them back.

Sadly our defence lacks a bus that can be conveniently parked in front of goal so I don't see us keeping a clean sheet... I reckon we will lose 0-3.

1-4 Man City. No great disgrace to us. I'm sure we will be better prepared when we play them at home.
We know our forwards can score, we know our midfield is creative. It would be good to see our defence coming together and dealing well with a quality team. I'd be happy with that, win lose or draw.
I do not think they will score more goals than us.
Jocanovic doesn't do "Damage Limitation" so this is going to be a real thrashing for us.

This game feels like a firing squad, but without the blindfold and last cigarette. We need our best back four in place with time to bed in and know each other's tendencies. We won't have that, so I'm thinking 4-1 for City. Team has a class skipper who won't run up the score once the outcome is secure. We're not coming close to winning this game so early into our just-promoted season. 4 months from now, who knows.

I was there - honest!- for that recovery from 2-0 down, when the half time Tv in the bar area- I had a double whisky, the price nearly made me pass out! -was saying we were down if results stayed the same, and then there was that glorious come back with Danny Murphy and Kamara, which was one of the greatest moments of my Fulham supporting life, alongside that John Mitchell last minute goal at City's then ground, Maine Road, to get us into the Cup Final, which I also witnessed - honest! -
I remember from both games the absolute joy and disbelief and complete pandemonium of us Fulham fans, falling over seats, hugging each other, tears of sheer joy,
so i don't see why can't we get something out of today's game. I know the players will give their all.
