We never do anything with the possession we have, and the defenders and goalkeeper seem to switch off as it all seems very comfortable and then we concede. Happens every game.
Opponents shots to goals ratio this year must be incredible

Well, gotta give Betts some props here, as much as he's been under fire on this board so far. Could have been 2 nil, 3 nil if not for a couple of very good saves. FFC sloppy in their back.
Last 10-15 mins of first half were much better offensively. FFC still looks unsure of themselves with possession, slow and difficult to make decisions/plays. And Mitro on a yellow.
I'll happily take a draw at this point, but in their back third they look very shaky indeed.

Would cause us problems whatever the system, but no wide outlets from the back causing early passes forward that they are picking off. Mitro looks pissed off today.

True. They pressed Joe Bryan hard. And they were watching for Reams passes to the midfield and would press the midfielders Ream was looking for.

Until we start concentrating on scoring more goals than our opponents. then this will continue to happen.

Losing to the two bottom teams would suggest these players are not up for the fight. All great when things are going their way, but when they need to dig in, battle for every challenge, kick a few legs away, they don't want it.
Time will tell, but it's looking like play offs or nothing.

It is surely the individual performances of the untouchable big names that is unacceptable. Some have hardly been mentioned.
As an aside there is nothing in the footballing handbook more potent than a rubbish team playing for their manager and Stoke seem to be doing just that.
Cavaleiro doesn't keep moving around enough. He kind of lacks anticipation as well. He ball watches, literally.

I wouldn't say it is ignorant, because the change has cost us, two out an out wingers being asked to do defensive duties with what looks like a 3 at the back is wrong. Braun isnt a 3rd centre back.
In the game sI have seen Onomah he has left a little to be desired.
Was a strange set up, if Sess not available then play Odoi and keep the formation that has been doing ok.
As for favourites, don't care if he does have them all managers do, Cav will always be a player that frustrates but you have to accept that with him. Same to a degree for Knockers and his gesticulating.
At this point Bryan and Mawson a 6 and the rest less. No fight and a bad formation. Poor all around.

Well, think we are good enough for the play offs. On our day we are miles better than any other team. But the price is regular flat performances.
My guess is we will have a much better second half of the season.

Sorry Jim - no offence meant.
Quick summary - Porous defence, lacks pace and allows too much space to opponents. Toothless attack - always playing in a congested area because of slow build up. Mitro outmuscled today, maybe shackled by early yellow. Cairney ghosts in and out of the game and needs too much time and space and was beaten in possession several times. I don't remember seeing many times when our attackers ran past their defenders. If possession is the future - give me the past!
