Solid start. Ream lasts 45 secs without allowing a goal. I really thought he'd hold out his usual 10-12 minutes. Oh well.

To be fair to the lads - it's clear Parker wants them to pass the ball backward every other pass. Why play it out of the back when A. It doesn't work as everyone expects it and B. we are just going to pass it to the back anyway?

We've had some opportunities to press up midfield, but we aren't taking any chances, and it doesn't seem like player decision as the team is in unison with this...

Nice goal by Arter - but a PL keeper isn't letting that in. Oddly we were due - QPR is very average. I have lost count of the number of mistakes we've made, but it's about 10-12 I think...

Arter is still awful and only luck has got us level - you genuinely have to question what Parker does with this team in between games because it doesn't look like we're coached to do anything. These players are all technically proficient enough that even if they put their feet up all week, they could turn up on game day and pass the opposition to death without making chances like we do, so Parker is just a babysitter in my eyes at this stage

I think we have a reverse Samson effect. Delia cut his hair and he weakened. Mitro grows his, Ream looks like a new "metro"man with that mop pushed up on his head and Reid looks like he's wearing a court jester hat. None of the three have contributed much of late. Hector's hair seems a bit longer and he's is a just an average player at the moment.
On the other hand, Reed and Knockers have the same doo and seem to be up for it.
My hair is longer and the trill of football hasn't come back. I'll get a haircut. You fellows look into a quality barber for the team.

Our players don't want to be there. This is their job, and obligation once or twice a week and it shows. There is no spirit, attitude, or togetherness. They just turn up. At least that is what I read through their body language, communication and effort levels. I see players hiding behind the opponents to avoid receiving a pass. I see laziness. I see players on their own wavelengths. It is a typical characteristic of an underachieving team. The opposite is prominent in successful teams, with the best example being Liverpool. They fight for every ball, have good relationships between the players and the coach, and turn up for more than just the money.Ā  I don't expect us to be Liverpool, but I do wish we would show 10% of the aforementioned traits. Perhaps we can get a championship version of Klopp to change things up. One can dream...

I would not care one bit if a poll doesn't agree with me. Get a feeling a good portion around here have their minds made up long before the ball is kicked, and only something extraordinary would change it during the game. But that is only my opinion.

Defence is atrocious. Hector is having to do Ream's job as well as his own. We give the ball away in midfield far too much - especially when our central defenders can't run back to cover. I think the two fullbacks have played fairly well but we look wide open to crosses and very weak in central midfield. The attack has looked up for it, but a bit headless at times. I'd like to see what Arter can do at centre forward with Stefjo or Mcdonald coming on in midfield. Even MLM would be an improvement on Ream on current form.

More like after a season of underperforming we have made our minds up. Then we concede a calamitous goal after less than 60 seconds, further reinforcing that. We have done okay since, but are still very uninspiring against a team that is just above relegation standard.

I would not care one bit if a poll doesn't agree with me. Get a feeling a good portion around here have their minds made up long before the ball is kicked, and only something extraordinary would change it during the game. But that is only my opinion.

Are they going to catch WBA?

To be honest I'd rather play West Brom than Brentford In the play offs, especially as WB would likely be deflated and lacking confidence if they'd dropped to third

Agree. Also because WBA has looked like a crap team whenever I've seen them this season.

Par for the course with Parker. Defending a 1 goal lead with less than 20 mins remaining, but as I've said elsewhere, he actually has an incredibly good conversation rate of narrow leads to wins

I know it has worked. But on the other hand we never kill games off with another goal, which might have happened otherwise. But first and foremost it's bad for my nerves.

Nice to get a win, but we shouldn't need to be defending in depth against QPR. Clearly we were the better team, but that's not saying much. We never looked in control of the game. Cairney still strolls through the game - fine when he goes forward but if he loses the ball he doesn't bust a gut to get it back. I can see why we play inverted wingers. Neither of them have the pace to go outside their marker and even if they do they are too slow in getting a cross in. Onomah did well when he came on. Christie had his best game for a long time. Hector was crucial in defence, and Reed had a good game. Odoi gave his all as usual and managed to be in the right place most of the time. I feel more comfortable with him there than Bryan on current form. Overall it was a good middle table performance but gave me no hope of a resurgence to top-of-the-table form.
