Are we playing in this competition?
We are but 22 teams get a bye in the first round : 20 PL teams, Cardiff, Fulham but not Huddersfield.

Yup - by coming 19th instead of 20th we get a first round bye. Not sure when that rule came in or if it has always been the case.

The number of teams that get a bye needs to be divisible by two, and they decided 22 teams get a bye so it's the 20 premier league teams and two best relegated teams.

If you want the sponsor name it is Carabao EFL Cup. Just like how the Premier League is the Barclays Premier League and we're currently in the Sky Bet Championship.
Can't we get a bye from the whole stupid competition?!

Not sure why we would want a bye - it's a proper cup with Europa League entry to the winner, not some Autoglass/Corby Trouser Press type nonsense. Having said that, we have a diabolical record in it...
I must admit to being releived we avoided this round, we always seem to get Wycombe away.
Hopefully Huddersfield play some of their first team. Only 3 days until we play them

I dont recall it being stupid when Keegan's team knocked Southampton out and were 2 0 up with 5 to go in the quarters against Leicester. We wont talk about the shoot out 😞

Don't understand this attitude, seems like
you don't want us to ever win any silverware.
And some have the same idea about FA Cup.
Why do you bother supporting the club.😵
Southampton at the Cottage it is! Will surely be on the Tuesday as we have Cardiff on the Friday.

This cup competition has changed a lot since then.
A good chance to try out some fringe players.
Well Huddersfield lost 0-1 at home to Lincoln.
11 changes from the side that played QPR.
After the game missed out on a plum draw in the next round v Everton.
Well done Lincoln.

It's not Barclays. There's no title sponsor
