We always get the most exciting draws

We will play our Under23's and they will play a team sprinkled with just enough first teamers to squeeze through.
Fulham 1 - 2 Southampton.
I swear we drew Southampton for the EFL Cup last time we were in the championship too. Could have been FA Cup, but all I remember is dominating possession but losing 2-0 at the cottage.
Would be nice if we'd have drawn a decent side. Don't think we really take these cup games seriously anyway.
This is the League Cup by its most recent name, presumably?

Indeed it is.
Personally I do not care for this cup it's got Manchester City written all over it. Focus on a 46 game season (now 44) and promotion.
I just hope we don't bother with either cup, our priority has to be promotion, the longer you're out of the premiership the more debilitating it is to your club. I can still remember loads of Wigan fans, the year they won the cup, saying on sky how they'd rather win the cup and be relegated! I'd love to see how many of those that did feel about it now!!
Play the fringe players & the kids, as far as I'm concerned the cup games are really just for teams that aren't fighting for promotion or survival, or obviously have incredible squads, aka Man City.
Time to give the young guys a go :
Rodak, Stevie Sess, Dramah, Fossey, Opuko, DLT, O' Riley, Abraham etc
Then we can concentrate on the league....
ugh. Was hoping someone exciting away
I would of preferred Southampton away still never mind. I hope to see some of our second string players that I now don't often get the chance to see. I would also like FFC to try and win every competition they enter and not just use it as a practise match.

Wouldn't winning this cup get us another European run?
Was hoping for a 'new ground' away i.e Forest Green
Now we have a PL club at home my preference is to play our first team & go for a win

Would have liked to see the below, but i think you are correct.
Ayite Reid Kamara
Onomah Reed O'Riley
Sess MLM McD Christie
Rodak
To me, winning games and getting a bit of continuity with the team is important. We should play as close to the first team as possible. It's not such a big deal if we lose, but will do wonders for morale if we win.
An important opportunity to test the fringe starting players in each position.
Cavelerio
Ayite Onamah Kamara
Johasen KMac
Sess MLM Odoi Christie
Rodak
