What a versatile player he is. Played as a left wing back and created the first goal, he was unlucky not to score.

He's under contract until 2022.

Plus...he's already starting for Fulham.    Tony won't sell him to Spurs.

All things are for sale in the football world and there is almost no loyalty.  If Fulham want to keep Steven, then they need to show real ambition and keep progressing forward in the January window.  Promotion can have no excuses and staying up would be a must.

Keep in mind that even if Fulham are promoted and we manage to stay up, larger clubs who play in the Champion's League will always come a knocking and nick up players.  The important thing is that we Fulham make a tidy profit and keep moving up and up.

Why doesn't twin Ryan also play in this side?

Injured. He's been with the U21's for two years already and would surely feature if he was fit.

By now we should have fully recognised the problem we have with big clubs taking our players .
Obviously we cannot stop it but procedures should be in place to ensure they stay with us for a reasonable time and that we maximise transfer fees.

The shot for Foden's goal was with his let foot, only ever see him use his right before.

Unfortunately there is only so much the club can do. There are rules for when a player can sign a professional contract, and for contract length etc. Under current regulations there will always be a dependence on the player as well.

Fortunately for us, both Ryan and Steven signed contracts with us when they turned 17. That is why Ryan fetched a good fee. Steven has subsequently signed another extension, which means that were he to move anytime soon we would in all likelihood fetch a good fee for him as well.

On the other hand, Elliott decided not to stay, and there was nothing the club could do from a contractual point of view.

Speaking of Elliot - did we get fee for him? Thought it was going to arbitration

Tribunals are notorious for the length of time before they pay out.
Very interesting to find out our pay out, when it comes.

To qualify that, it is Liverpool who will pay us after the tribrunal finally makes up it mind.

It seems the key to "making money from youth development" is to "keep players out of the public eye" until they are at least 17 years old and signed a long-term senior contract of a few years. I guess that partly explains why we are playing Steven Sessegnon (signed 4+ years contract) and not Matt O'Riley (only has 10 months left on contract).

Or that we now have many mf options and not so many at rb.

This. I prefer the simple explanation over the complex one is these cases. That's not saying that it is impossible that the contract situation has something to do with it (since anything is possible), but I really hope and believe that SP is allowed to choose the match day squad as he see fit. If he would believe that promotion would be more likely by including O'Riley, then it would be a shame if he was not allowed to do so.
