Title: Fulham Higher Sports Academy
Post by: Huxley on September 10, 2019, 04:27:31 PM
Came across a page on the Fulham site about a new partnership in Spain. First time I heard about this. It seems like a fee paying football school, mixing football training and education. Trying to work out if it's a mainly a revenue stream or would it be a source of potential first team players. https://thehighersportsacademy.com/

Huw Jennings Academy Director Fulham FC
"We are excited about a new development which will give opportunities for us to explore talented players in Spain and other territories"

So does sound like there might be player possibilities to me.  Can only be a good thing.

I like our academy and huw jennings. Things since he and Wigley came in have gone really well for us.

So how long before we see a young Spaniard in our first team, 5, 10, 20 years, sometime, never,
Not this season anyway.

Apparently it is open worldwide. So if your parents or investors have some money, they send the kids to this school and hope they are as good as they think he is. I guess the benefit is that you get top notch coaching and making you more attractive to a professional team. I wonder if Fulham would have a first right to the player. I can't understand why a skilled youngster would pay to go to this school. I'd they were that skilled chances are they would have already been scouted.
