Aleksandar Mitrović has been named PFA Player of the Month for October.
The Fulham number nine plundered six goals in his five outings last month, including a first hat-trick at Club level in our 3-2 win over Luton Town.
Decided by football fans worldwide, Mitrović was the comfortable winner of the PFA award, taking home 46 per cent of the vote.
It means that a Fulham man has taken home the accolade for the second month in a row, after Tom Cairney won the September trophy.

Imagine how many more goals he would have scored if we transitioned into attack a bit quicker and got our wingers playing as wingers (not inverted) & who took on and beat players to cross/cut back balls into the box for Mitro & others running on. (That may involve knocking a longer ball into space, cutting out 20 unnecessary side & back passes and occasionally taking such a daring chance we may be at risk of losing possession and spoiling our lovely 70-80% ratio target, so a big no-no for Scott!) 064.gif
Surprised he won this, and by such clear a margin, this month. But well done Mitro
The problem is apart from Cairney and Mitro we have only scored 7 goals in 15 games; and worse, not including Milwall and Wigan, the rest of the team in 13 games has scored 3 goals and conceded 17 goals.

Although I agree with the sentiment that it would be preferable if more players contributed to the scoring, but taking out our two best scorers, and also excluding our two biggest wins will of course make the stats look bad. I guess that would be true for many teams.
If I instead exclude our losses against Stoke and Hull, then we are almost unbeaten this season.

And so much propaganda is made of stuff like this. The problem is that when a team doesn't live up to expectations the individuals who are not doing so often badly suffer from supporter amnesia along with those who are. Thankfully the PFA tends not to suffer such bias when measuring the good points.
