Always curious who our fan base define as Cult Heroes and who stands out for Fulham.
My pick would probably be Moritz Volz.
Trevor 'Tosh' Chamberlain. End of. :54: Proud to say I have shaken his hand, no wasn't taking a corner at the time.

That was my main question, google defines as:
a writer, musician, artist, or other public figure who is greatly admired by a relatively small audience or is influential despite limited commercial success. In terms of football I always though fans used it to describe "quirky" players...
Others that I associate with the tag are Paintsil and Odoi
15,000 (Volz)
Pantsil
Inamoto (he's gonna score...)
Bobby Keetch
Teddy Maybank
Les Strong.
Kenny Kenny Kenny Kenny Anchampong
Moritz Volz is a good shout. Used to come to CC using the tube and his folding bike. Also involved with the Princes Trust. Great guy. Will always remember his equaliser at Stamford Bridge.
Jimmy Hill, kept us laughing whenever he played.and turn into a football Genius
Eddie Lowe
Vincenzo Montella
Angus
Herrera
Lehman could be worth a shout depending on the criteria
Odoi will become another IMO
Sylvain Legwinski. Cigarette smoker, drove an old beaten up VW - what's not to like?
Still not quite sure of the definition but am beginning to understand that it is different than favourite/best player or even legends or club servant.
Would like to mention Brian McBride but not sure that he quite fits the category.
No it has to be Tosh and perhaps Jim Stanard.
Oh Barry Hayles
It just has to be Mr Fulham....... Johnny Haynes 594 league appearances and 658 games in all!!
GEEEEERA
Fred Callaghan must be in the mix.......number 12 (when that meant the one allowable substitute) for long periods before establishing himself. Hardly an elegant player, but effective, and a great club man.
Erik Nevland.

Johnny is a legend! Not a cult hero!
Les Barrett
No surprises there
Honorary mention to Alan Slough and Louis Saha

Cult Hero..... a writer, musician, artist or other public figure who is greatly admired by a relatively small audience or is influential despite limited commercial success.
Would suggest that sums him up a treat!!
Simon Morgan
Roger Brown

Hmmm.... Our greatest ever player, with a statue and a stand named after him, at one point the highest paid player in football and 50+ England caps puts him firmly outside "cult" status IMO
...or how about Jim Langley?
Unmistakable with that crew cut hair style, those hitched up shorts and those bandy legs.......
.....described by none other than Stanley Matthews as "A hard back, and a thorough gentleman"....

No, Johhny wins every other "best " category lets leave cult hero to someone else. not sure he fits anyway.
Ivor
Maurice Cook
049:gif 049:gif
all of the above
Bobby Keetch, Jimmy Langley, Tosh Chamberlain, they were all cult heroes.
Barry Hayles - Met him at the lion with Davis after the Derby win. Top guys
Paul Pechisolido
Not sure why but Steve Hayward and Stolcers
Facundo Sava, karagounis, got the tube with Holtby after a game.
Odoi will become one.

Forgot about the greek god!
Karagounis, McBride, Legwinski, Voltz and Dennis Odoi
(He's fat, he's round, he's worth a million pounds) Jim Stannard (Jim Stannaaaard)
Cult heroes 11 -
Jim Stannard, Moritz Voltz, Bobby Keetch, Eddie Lowe, Jim Langley, Simon Morgan, Sylvain Legwinski, Johnny Key, Barry Hayles, Gordon Davies, Tosh Chamberlain,
John Evanson
Bit of an unsung hero, Sir Alec.
Has to be Stan Brown for me.
Facundo Sava
Jimmy Conway
Ivor, all day long. He had a great relationship with the fans.
Lee Cook(Not)
My cult heroes were John Marshal and Nick Cusack.
Some really good ones, definitely agree with the Vincenzo Montella as soon as he was mentioned I remembered his performances and celebration vividly even though he only played 10 games!

Facundo Sava
yes facundo for me coz he kept us entertained with m ask. Did you know he never went to any other UK club . But purely coz he was a hard nut Terry Angus.
The march at Swansea when we went down there was a Swansea supporter in front of me getting at him all game at the end terry came towards him and started to get over the barrier the fella s**t himself I think.
And he - terry - absolutely loved fulham.
Darren Freeman
Rufus Brevett. Cat explain why but hes my absolute favourite Fulham player of all time. Followed by Sir Brian McBride.
Cannot believe that it took so long to mention the ultimate cult hero....Ivor and then the other one was definitely Terry Angus.
Dempsey, especially for the delight he gave us with his winner vs Juve. Simon Davies for his equaliser in the final. Many of the others too but I will add one more; Bjorne Goldbaek.
Cult Hero
Our very own Jimmy Dunn
Pulled his pants down away @ Sunderland to make it very clear what he thought of their barracking of him.
Jimmy was booked & I think Mullers whacked him for that.
Cult well is just that!
COYW!!

No, definitely at Sunderland.
Jimmy was a fantastic player and only lost his place in the team on the arrival of Bobby Moore. For a few games Bobby played in midfield and Jimmy kept his place, but inevitably Bobby took over the 6 shirt and basically ended Jimmy's Fulham career.
He ended his career at Torquay which was where we originally signed him from.
Pantsil's lap of honor around the pitch after every game.
Peter Crouch mentions him on one of his podcasts as being absolutely mental on the pitch and a complete nutter.
https://www.balls.ie/football/peter-crouch-john-pantsil-trash-talk-398515
Ghana international, John Pantstil - who was with Fulham - was the target. Crouch did not specify which team he was playing for at the time but given that Panstil played for Fulham between 2008 and 2011, the striker was either in the colours of Portsmouth or Spurs.
"He went through me so I started giving him a bit of stick," said Crouch.
I was saying, 'Ah, you're useless. How are you even on this pitch? Your mates are laughing at you. You're costing this team every week.'
Then I had to ask him his name. I had a look at the back of his shirt.
Pantsil's demeanour quickly changed.
"I just saw him switch and he changed. I said to Aaron Hughes, 'What's the matter with this fella?' He said, 'He's a nutcase.' Basically, 'What have you done?'
"He [Pantsil] said he was going to end my career. He'd break my legs and this and that.
"He was playing right-side centre-half so I conveniently moved to the left side. He didn't care, he left a massive hole at one side of the pitch and he was just following me wherever I went. I was thinking, 'Oh my God, he's going to kill me.'
"He was throwing his elbows in, he was an absolute nutcase."
Because they brought something else to a game, my three are Facundo Sava, Karagounis ( you could take bets for how long it would be between him coming on and him standing on the fence beating his chest and pumping his arms) and final Pantsil, the one man crowd control. You'd daren't leave till he'd completed his lap.
Pongo for me....Kilburn's finest.

Ara Bedrossian might be worth adding to the list.

That's a blast from the past and a great shout, indeed. There was even a Fanzine for a while based on his name. Mates of mine at the time used to write it.
Louis Bo
Geeeeeeeeraaaaaaa. Loveable guy and scored the most important goal in our club's history.
Jimmy Conway, just in case no-one's mentioned him.
I also had a soft spot for Mison
It is interesting how stark the difference between the three recent RB cult heroes are. Volz and Odoi are both consumate professionals and Pantsil is a madman.
John Mitchell.

Absolutely Ara - I'm trying to keep the flame alive with my name on here.....
Ak 47 is now my all time favourite cult hero, purely on the back of picking up the city striker who was faking injury and trying to carry him off the pitch. Legend
