Hector on the left Mawson on the right? Surely they're playing the other way round as mawson is an LCB and Hector is a RCB. Can anyone confirm?

Mawson is left of Hector. I don't think it is accurate to call Mawson a LCB. He's right footed. He might have played their for a long time for Swansea and be most mentally comfortable there, but he's just a right-footed CB.

Not sure I agree. No scores but a lot is going on in the pitch.

Knock working his ass off. Hector winning the ball in the air.. everyone moving the ball well.

Entertaining game imo.

Your namesake did alright as a right footed LCB.

Villa slightly on top, I think. We're badly missing a target man but have got the ball into attacking positions fairly well. Hector excellent at the back.

Hector having a good game except a couple of long passes misplaced. Been 1 of our better 1st halves lately, though Villa not exactly working their socks off.

Why play with no-one up top?

As usual plenty of knocking it around sideways and back, but no incisive balls into danger areas, as there is no-one there!

Villa should be 1-0 up to be fair, and hope for better in the second half.

You play no one up top to pull defenders around, which helps to create space. It's a footballing gambit.

FFC is the family friendliest club in England, after all. The stewards must know this.

Yeah exactly, a right footed LCB. It's not that odd, sometimes left backs are right footed and vice versa. It all depends on what side you're most comfortable playing.
