Fulham travel to the Cardiff City Stadium to take on Cardiff City in the first leg of their Play-Off Semi-Final on Monday 27th July, kick-off 7.45pm.

They attack with crosses into the box.

Denis Odoi cannot start over Cyrus Christie.  I'm saying it now.  We need to guard the back post and close down crossing attempts.

Those are the only things that worry me.

Good to see Parker and Grey have been working on all defensive scenarios. I wonder how they get an element of blind panic into training. Nicely done Hector and Rodak.

Ref blew the whistle for Tomlins fake head injury yet continued with just a drop ball.

Head injuries must always be treated, he should be off the pitch. If he wants to fake one to stop our play then he can get off for concussion tests

Thing is though we are thus far standing toe to toe with the rougher stuff, I don't get the comment on sleeping neutrals, and we have tried attacks on their goal from both sides and in front. BDR will tire the back four out softening them up for AK on 65 minutes. I think there is plenty of planning going on including players swapping positions to try something different.

Sorry for that, but the post kind of invited it, with a complete lack of nuance. Didn't mean to take it out on you, just tired of every match day thread being absolutely clogged up with complaints from minute 1, regardless of what happens. Again, sorry for also being part of the problem.

Cardiff set up really well against us. Not letting us play, being physical. We haven't really started. Having BDR as the central striker isn't working.

Good to use the usual suspects having a nice cry about people having different opinions to them.

Didnt mean it negatively on us necessarily. Its a very cage game and patiently waiting for hector and ream to find a midfield pass is something we've grown to understand in wait for the slip in behind, for neutrals though this game is a bore

You are right, its going to switch up a gear arouns 60 mins in. Two legged ganes can often be like this regardless of it being liverpool or accrington stanley as well

To be fair that's the first thing Cairney has done, before that he was anonymous. He needs to show he's the better player than Tomlin who has been influential. If Reid is going to go wide someone needs to get in the box.

Think Kebano has been our best player. I am no big fan, but he does make things happen. Normally with little end product, but the alternative right now is someone who doesn't make something happen to begin with.

I think that the smother by Smithies saw him land on Josh's leg. If he did and that challenge had been from an outfield player it would have been a red card. None of the commentators dwelt on it but after seeing th eLeeds game a few weeks ago, the commentary team were besides themselves trying to get Mitro a retrospective red card.

I think Parker makes TC play too high - look at where Reed usually has the ball and that was where TC used to like it so he could dictate play. Now when he gets the ball he's got his back to goal and being pressed instantly. Also think he suffers from a lack of penetrating runs from the wings.

Would be tempted to bring AK on for 25 mins on the right and let him go at the LB, Knockaert is so painfully predictable.

Also Odoi on for Bryan.

I said during the last game that Parker has managed to nullify Cairney and make him a very average player if not a bench warmer.
Where as under Joka Cairney was very much a key player

Agree, I think Parker's perfect midfield is 3 players that kind of play like he used to, and at least one of them has to be good at passing and he's content.

How on earth has SP done that? Cairney was sublime for twenty odd games but that's it. Post play off final no real interest from other Clubs, no international duties, Joka could'nt make things work for him in the Prem and Ranieri got little out of from him. TC is our luxury player and one great shot on goal and a pass is testament to that. Saying that glad he is our luxury as when it clicks it is often very good indeed.

Second half was up there with the best from Jokanović days! First half we stood our ground. Told you quality would shine through if we weathered the storm!

Oh my god, I'm flabbergasted. I've never used that word before. Talk about turning up. That was our best second half performance all season, and the first wasn't too bad either. Onomah, I was wrong about you. I love players that prove me wrong. And Kebano...thank you <3

I thought we were really good second half. I've been bugging up Onomah for since the restart. Think he's been really good. Amazing goal.

Cannot see us losing 3-0 at home.

Everything went to Parkers plan. Soak them up 1st half & then hit them when they tired. Going to sleep on my MOTM. Between Onomah & Kebano.

Onamah's goal was a thing of beauty. To see three decent defenders holding their jocks was a bit like watching Messi. Would love to know what Caediff's supporters have to say about that.

All 4 defenders were excellent. Only criticism of the defence was where Christie went under the ball 1st half giving them an excellent chance and played the forward onside in the 2nd. Hector and Ream were formidable.

He didn't go under the ball. He moved up with the rest of the defence. It was Joe Bryan who was ball watching, playing the Cardiff forward onside
