Wow.   MLM + Odoi CB pairing.

Can you imagine if injuries had us starting that pairing in the EPL.   :005: :005:

Genuinely excited to see how this team does; disappointed not to get a view of Aina though. But keen to see Lemina and Anguissa together and what they can do.

If the ghost stream works I'm going to record this game for future reflection/humor.

Now...maybe MLM can actually play CB and simply sucks as a LB.   We can all hope right?

Hope we don't play Mitro more than 45 minutes.    Leeds on the weekend.

Decent team. Would have liked to have seen Aina and Jasper amongst the subs, but otherwise Scott is giving people game time and taking this seriously!

Well...we only conceded 3 goals.     And we know a less in form Arsenal team can put 5 on us, so yes, it could have been worse with today's CBs as starters.

I actually rate MLM as a backup CB though.  He's just too light weight imo.

I want MLM to be a decent CB backup so we can heavily invest in only one CB this transfer window instead of having to buy two.

think it will be the same formation
tete  odoi mlm and robinson across the back
lemina zambo and bobby as the midfield 3
with knockeart mitro and kebano as the front 3

Kebano scores from a free - kick, Mitro gets a brace, all good. I want to see how the new guys do.

Almost exactly the team I wanted. Not a single player in there who isn't second string, a new signing or lacking fitness. Exactly what the cup is for.

The big question, as already mentioned, is where is Aina. Well I guess that out of five new signings one of them had to be carrying an injury or at least unfit.

Think there will be changes in the CM seeing as half of the bench are central midfielders. PLan might be to move BDR up the field.

Loving Lemina currently. Get a sense of real quality from him and Frank in the middle. With additional match fitness, could be an exciting combo. Not enjoying Reid so far.

have to admit, slightly like watching a different team entirely. All new signings are looking the part and working well together. The new signings are all looking much more energetic too and classy. Great to see Tete get an assist in his first game. We're crying out for two CBs and another one or two top attacking players.

I wonder if the change is helping MLM too as he looks a different player tonight. Appreciated its against Ipswich, (my home town unluckily) but happy to see he looks sharper on the ball and protecting space better than usual. Super happy for Tete too. All the talk that he isn't very attack minded and he pops up with a delightful cross, perfect for Mitro, on his debut is a huge boost.

my guess is his first game is the cup game next week. provided they hold on here.

lemina had been here a week and didn't play vs. arsenal so i don't expect aina to play after a week.
