No conviction in that Wilson finish .

Yet again Sky have made it horrendously impossible to find the game via their site and desktop app, useless every time

Yeh got it now thanks.

They advertise it as being on the sky sports app, you launch that and it just launches a link to their site.

Had it up in 2 seconds on the sky go app instead

Good stuff, I prefer Sky Go myself apart from the fact it's about 90 secs behind the game in real time!

Brum look like the best side we've seen so far this season. Good, honest team on 20 mins of evidence. They'll feel hard done by the scoreline despite a couple big chances we've created on the break.

Our passing has gone from being sublime to shite in the space of 30 seconds, been a very odd start. Also it looks like our players are all wearing the wrong boots because none of them go without falling over more than 30 seconds.

How has Wilson not got a free kick from that?! Another homer ref...

I think we need to tweak our system, we're making a right hash of playing it out from the back as Brum have 2 strikers staying high. The diagonal ball in behind is killing them and we need to keep doing it

Our passing needs to improve too, losing possession way too much.

Not one Brum player fallen over yet - how can 11 players misjudge a playing surface so much compared to the oppposition?

Eh? We've been the better team and the only chances Brum have had we've essentially made for them or have been set pieces, when we go forward at pace they can't deal with it whereas you make it sound like it's 4-0 Birningham

A bit of an overreaction, I know mate. But I can't stand misplaced passes and poor play, it frustrates me to no end. Professional footballers should be able to make a simple pass, but any average team pressures us a little and they fall apart. Not sure we have been the better team, but it's clear we have the better players.

How he's not given Wilson that free kick when he's in on goal, followed by allowing BDR to get cleaned out and instantly say "no foul" is just ludicrous considering how soft half of their free kicks have been

Apart from that clearance. And the bad pass to Ream. And the other giveaway in the first few minutes. And misjudging a cross that caused us to concede a corner. But that save on the header was nice, certainly, and his punt to Wilson was excellent.

As an aside, this referee is atrocious. Just comically bad.

They're not allowed to open one stand due to the H&S body that certifies your stadium being allowed to open, refusing to sanction one stand opening (I don't know why though)

Does anybody know why there is hardly anybody there? It's not I expect of a Birmingham City side that is doing well for the first time in a long time.

They're not allowed to open one stand due to the H&S body that certifies your stadium being allowed to open, refusing to sanction one stand opening (I don't know why though)

Oh right, cheers.  Thats a bit weird.

It looks a bit soulless doesn’t it?

It really does. I thought it would be jumping.

Looked to me like Chalobah blocked Odoi's marker for the goal on the corner, like Tosin did for Mitro when we played Hull. More obviously deliberate this time, interesting to know if that is a specific tactic we are doing now.

Not really, they're going route 1 so having Mawson and Tosin to deal with it is just sensible. See out a 3-0 win and we go home happy

Surely Christie is a better option than Odoi

Odoi in the running for man of the match for me tonight, some people just seem to be very biased against him. But to each their own I guess. Classy player in my opinion, and severely underrated. Gazza, Ream, Bryan, Seri, Reed and Tosin to name a few also made mistakes today because almost all players do at some point in a game.
Title: Re: Birmingham City (A) 19:45 Wed 15 Sep

It was an odd sort of game, but we cannot complain at 1 4 away, thought Tosin was superb, good to see Mawson get a run out, but when necessary we broke quickly with pace and punished them, but my only concern was that Birmingham did have a fair share of chances however it’s the result what counts.
Nevertheless we are back on top of the Division and the result was sweet after Saturdays disappointment. It’s how we react from a set back v Blackpool.
