We're playing too slowly again. Teams seem to be figuring out how to nullify us going forward, I think we should start mixing thing up a bit, try Muniz up in a 2.

unfortunately...Fabio's movement is the glue that opens up our attack.   We're easy to defend in our final third.

Looks like another Blackpool performance. Credit to Bristol, who are playing well. We can count ourselves lucky to have 11 on the pitch. Poor decision in our favour.

Also Wilson is a FK expert. Why is he not taking our FK??

Having a #10 with a lot of movement (which separates Fabio from Quina and Chalobah) opens up so much space for our attacks.

Chalobah is a better CDM than he is a box to box.

Need Reed to come in for Chalobah.    I'd bring on Kebano for BDR...unless we switch to a 4-4-2 and bring on Muniz for BDR.   Kebano has more movement...

Bournemouth 2-0 up so we couldnt go top, but a really poor performance so far. Everything just so slow. No link up to Mitro at all.

I know it is early days, but Chalobah looks worse than Onomah and I think Onomah should not be a regular starter for a team with ambitions of promotion. We have no real fluidity or meaningful interactions in midfield, but lots of fancy flicks and tricks that are unlikely to produce anything. Hopefully Carvalho is back soon, and in the best of worlds we will see Cairney sooner rather than later as well.

Lacking any cutting edge. Mitro being treated as usual with no service. Silva must change the formation. Chalobah is on borrowed time. Bring on Reed. Bryan on for Robinson. He is the only one who can bring Mitro into the game. BDR all huff & puff. Kebano on for him.

Chalobah's first yellow shouldn't have been a yellow.  It should have been a free kick...like the Bristol player's tackle in front of their goal.  Same type of tackle...different referee results.

Bristol is defending well...but I'd be disappointed if I was a Bristol fan.

Seri has played well for us this year...but at some point...defensively, we're going to need better at holding mid.   Hopefully Chalobah can do the job.

I haven't seen Mitro look this healthy since his Hull injury during our last promotion season.   Good job Nees.

BDR is not a winger (or a wide mid for those that don't like that term).  Nees is.

Now...sub BDR for Muniz.   The little assist that Bobby gave to Harry Wilson has bought him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much time on the pitch.   I think his decision making is only slightly better than Ivan's, which is bad imo.

The performance has been the same as the Blackpool and Reading games. Not played well, allowed the opposition to gain confidence and get back into the game. Wilson and Kebano missed 1 on 1s to kill the game. We'll probably end up losing this

We need to high press them. Don´t let them come on to us.

I really don't like Seri as a holding mid.   He's waiting to make a pass...and imo a holding mids #1 job should be protecting the back line.

As soon as Bristol fell behind they started running at us ...where has Seri been defensively?

Now...sub BDR for Muniz.   The little assist that Bobby gave to Harry Wilson has bought him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much time on the pitch.   I think his decision making is only slightly better than Ivan's, which is bad imo.

Careful what you wish for…. Cue appearance of a grinning Cavaleiro…?

At some point Silva will work out that he has better players than Ream and Odoi at his disposal.

WHY IS CAV COMING ON INSTEAD OF MUNIZ

Well, I jinx Mitro - we cannot miss those 2 last sitters.

Full Time remarks:
- Is Robinson so much better than Bryan doesn't deserve a start?
- Is Ream any better than Mawson right now?
- Is Cavaleiro going to get minutes every game, despite being obnoxious every time he touches the ball?
- While we should have done better, we got very unlucky this game. Again.
- Mitro, in the end, costed us 3 points. He must do better, a guy with his quality.

In training instead of jogging around making 2 yard passes have some intense shooting practice. Something is wrong with the players technique.

Something has happened since the international break. We just dont look like the same team. Surely Carvalho isnt that crucial to our entire gameplan?

Missing so many easy chances every game,
Why is Muniz not getting a chance
Why is Cav anywhere near the first team
Why is Christie not playing instead of Odoi
Why is Mawson not playing, we are conceding easy chances in the box several times a game at the moment
Why does the midfield suddenly look ponderous and unbalanced

Answers: 1 Debatable - is Bryan any better than Robinson? If so why.
2. Again debatable. Mawson probably the better defender but Ream is a calming influence who helps control games, but also likely to be mugged.
3. I hope not. He continually makes the wrong decisions and lacks control. He has some speed, which we seem to be lacking at present and I can see why he is brought on late in a game to keep them honest, but he is very unproductive.
4. You make your own luck.
5. "must do better" or "can do better"? He is a striker. If he wasn't scoring, he wouldn't be on the pitch. He's still our top scorer.

We are missing chances, but are they really "easy"? Mitro's effort that hit the bar wasn't easy - he worked the opportunity well; there was one that he really should have put away though. Muniz is probably not up to match fitness yet, but deserves his chance sooner rather than later. I entirely agree about Cav; he has had too many chances to show why he is worth a place and has taken none of them. I suspect there is something going on behind the scenes with Christie. I think it is time to bring Mawson in; our defence looks very static and flatfooted in the box. Could it be that the midfield needs an enforcer?
