Happy St.Patricks day everybody .
For the day thats in it ,who is your favourite Irish player that you seen live in the flesh playing for Fulham .
Mine is Steve finnan ,followed by duffer and Arran Hughes ,
Always liked Gerry Peyton, but Georgie Best has to be up there as an all time favourite player, although not at Fulham long.
Seen them both live.
How can you have a favourite when you have supported Fulham for getting on for 55 years. However Jimmy Conway has to be added to the list
For his stunning level of natural ability for me it has to be George Best.
Then Jimmy Conway and Aaron Hughes.

Being an Irish man, it has to be our very own Damien duff
Jimmy Conway, no contest.
Jimmy Conway and James Galway.
Are you talking about the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland?
Never seen jimmy live so couldn't add him to my list ,my grandad saw George live for Fulham and and Man utd and said he was the most gifted player he had the privilege to see live
All of the above, especially Damien Duff he was a real class act.
I go a long way back and one of my early heroes was keeper Ted Hinton , always remember a great picture in the Evening News of Ted taking the ball from the head of Tommy Lawton. Must have been in an Ireland v England match.
Lets not forget Robin Lawler, a nice footballing left half.
Terry Wogan
Jimmy Conway - south
George Best - north

out the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland?
Both
Steve Finnan. He may be my favourite Fulham player of all time, it's very close between Finnan, Horsfield, Johansen and Mitrovic
Republic of Ireland - Steve Finnan
Northern Ireland - Maik Taylor
I don't dispute we've had many more skilful over the years, but for what he did, when he did it and what it meant at the time, my favourite Irish Fulham player is Rodney McAree and probably always will be.

Republic of Ireland - Steve Finnan
Northern Ireland - Maik Taylor
Although Maik was born in Germany.
Jack McClelland .
Damien Duff is probably the first time in my lifetime at least, that I saw a player and thought "I wish he could play for our club" and then he actually did eventually.
It was a real moment for me when we signed him. Loved watching every minute of him in a Fulham shirt.
Bobby Brennan
Duff-man
Bairdinho. Gave everything he had, week in week out.

Good list above, all Republic Of Ireland Players who have ever played for Fulham.
Special Shout out to Ray Houghton... My favourite is Damian Duff .
Can't find a similar list for Northern Ireland, but we have Aaron Hughes and David Healy and a few others .. my favourite is Georgie Best, obvs 😊
Slightly different suggestion from me, Rory Hamill because he scored a very quick goal against Chester City the day my son was the FFC mascot.
Johnny Sexton
Amazing flyhalf

There in lies the rub.
Chris Baird. Most hated player that actually proved all of you wrong when Roy got him playing proper, no?

When was that because I don't recall Hamill scoring many for us ?

Was that the Fulham goal after about 9 seconds?...

Yes, when Duff signed for us I could hardly believe it and new that we were in for some good displays from him. He didn't disappoint.
Everyone of those players were great players for us and I have enjoyed watching them all

Doing a quick search, I think it may be 8 April 1996 which looks like a 2-0 win but I can't find the goal scorers.
George Best but his best days were before coming to Fulham
But the player I loved most for Fulham has to be Jimmy Conway

Scorers were Morgan and Scott !
jack mccellandGreat keeper for us and arsenal
For me it has to be the Duffer but Finnan runs him close and I have very fond memories of Houghton. Best utility player has to be Bairdinho.
I saw George Best early on when he played for Untied and he was something special. I saw him play at Fulham froths debut onwards and though the he was clearly having problems again. His on field skill was way above any other footballer I had ever seen. He was something special.
Gerry Peyton remains my favourite keeper for Fulham. No frills, no diving for the cameras. His positional sense was outstanding.
Anyone else remember Brendan Mullan?

Yes remember him from my early Fulham days, a nice inside left who I thought was a really class playmaker but then along came Haynes.
Another vote for Jimmy Conway, but Ray Houghton was also pure class for us.
Best was obviously a great player, even for us, but I stand by the two aforementioned.
The question was which irish player? north or south doesnt enter into it. footballs dont recognise borders. Damien Duff for me!
Steve Finnan
George Best.
But it can only be Jimmy Conway!
Turlough O'Connor. Played once for FFC and a full international.
There have been quite a few in my time. Conway was the first for me. So many have already been mentioned. I don't think I ever saw Duff have a bad game.
For me it's the man who went from Zero to Hero Bardinio. Not the most skillfully in this illustrious list but full of grit and he always had a sweet 30 yard pass in him.
Slightly different tact to the question being asked but as a regular attendee at Ireland international fixtures, one of my favourite moments was hearing a fan bestow the nickname 'Corpus' to our (at the time) very own Cyrus Christie.
Aorran Hughes
George best
Damian duff

😁😁
Jimmy Conway for me.
Aaron hughes
My Uncle Ronnie advised Vic Buckingham what a prospect he was and he signed shortly afterwards. So Jimmy for me.
