Title: Elm

those of you that went, what did you think of him? Bearing in mind the opposition he looked handy to me.  Some nice runs, vision etc...

BIG was my original thought, followed by a sense of oh no heres a big special one Lee Trundle, he seemed to take an age on the ball

I was only watching on line but I thought he did OK.

We're set up to play with Zamora and need that physical presence with the likes of Gera, Duff and Nevland to play off that sort of focal point.

If we can't have Zamora I'd put Elm in because he's clearly big and willing. Whether he's good enough we won't know unless he's given a chance but he's had 6 months to acclimatise and there's no point him being here if he's not worth playing.

At worst he'll help others play but if it's not working take him off.

he was ok, his passing was hit and miss but he worked hard and kept the ball quite well. but bare in mind this was against league 2 opposition with 10 men.

only watched on line, and seemed to do ok.
Did look a size though and doubt he was used to playing on a pitch like that, even poor Roy made a comment about the state of the pitch.
But who cares we got through to the next round  :D
