Black, White and Fred

 :011:

Just read that Dickson was included in the SUN's Team of the Week. Obviously being sourced from such a poisonous waterhole I deemed it ridiculous, however checking the game stats he had a a 94% pass completion and as far as I saw had a pretty decent defensive performance. What's happened to Dickson? Has he learned to pass?

his passing rate's always been around 80% but he did really well on saturday i thought

mrska

Yeah he seemed to have a good game.. after i'd slagged him off on Friday...  so im taking credit for it!  medal

sipwell

Passing back to the defender is not hard now is it?  :hook: :hook:

Haven't seen the game, so can't judge!
No forum is complete without a silly Belgian participating!

Agree with everyone. He had very good game and his passing was confident and purposeful.

MJG

I'll be the first to say i don't have a lot of time for him at the moment, but out of the main 4 midfield players he was the best on the day.

jarv

Fulham's man of match, no doubt.

aussierod

Completely agree, hats off to him for a good showing, after much criticism from myself and others he shows us all he can still do the business, fair play to him

No. That was the woodwork. But as far as Dickson goes, that was the best I have seen him this season

He was playing to his strengths i.e. defensive midfielder, protecting the back line. He is generally OK at this.

Burt

He also reads these message boards and wanted to prove those cynical FOFers wrong...  :dft011:

Absolutely - if a few other players had raised their game to that level we'd have picked up all 3 points.

Judging someone over a longer period is not in my understanding as a football fan

BillNRoc

I screamed at DE's performance far less than any other player in white. He almost scored a winner for us, and he seemed not to be at fault on any of Sunderland's good chances.

Of course, since none of the other front 6 really showed up, earning MOTM is pretty faint praise. (Sorry, the frame cannot be MOTM, by definition.)

ScalleysDad

Well if all the stats are true and notwithsatnding the fact that half the team are lemons I'll say well done that man.................. for this week anyway.

I've been the first to suggest dickson may not be that good on many occasions this term- but he did well on sat.

NogoodBoyo

A lot of his passes were one-touch crisp flicks forward to boot - or shoe - whichever fits!!!!!
