I was just going to say .. I'd like us to be in for Jesus (wages aside) just seen Arsenal would accept 20m for him

We should be looking at new, younger talent, unfortunately for me Jesus falls into the deadwood and damaged goods offering we seem to be in for to save cash.

Well I mean we certainly wouldn't save cash buying him given his wages

Konate is going to be a free transfer. Why not get him in and sell Andersen for £20m to pay for his wages?

Chuk
A Striker
A second striker but it'll be someone from our academy
A backup CB which is likely LDF

We'll yet again not get a CM

That's the spirit!  ::wine::

He's in his prime, no chance he doesn't go to a team playing european football

You never know until you try.

Finishing 11th we have the same budget as last season with our costs being similar to last season but without Raul and Wilson's wages.

...which, of course, is what we have lacked for a while now.

Perhaps we should put a classified ad in the Racing Post:

'Wanted.
Playmaker, with an eye for goal. Normally plays either as an attacking or central midfielder, and who possesses technical skills, vision, and stamina, . A good passer and striker of the ball with either foot. Should be known for his work-rate on the pitch, as well as his ability to interpret the game.'

[Health warning. I lifted these word from the profile of one F.Magath.]

This year we will have the extra money from the riverside being open. We will have a budget for before June 30th and a budget after. If we really tried to sign pepi early then that money is still there to spend before the 30th June. so after the 30th June we should have Kevin, Bobb and pepi transfer fee available.

I read somewhere that the Riverside isn't making as much as anticipated, it is early days though. I believe SCR is all about running costs not the cost of players, i.e. Wages.

its players and head coach wages, amortized transfer fees and agent fees up to 85% of revenue. Between 85%-115% incurs fines and over 115% is a 6 points penalty.

hovewhite

Off chance of Silva staying recruitment for next season.
Ridiculous but normal for our joke recruitment team.

LittleErn

IF Silva goes, then all the above is irrelevent. A new manager might want us to play completely different formations/tactics and therefore require differrent types of players; although a half-decent mobile striker will be essential whoever takes over.

Players' wages are absolutely central to the calculation so what you read was wrong. Thailand Mick is spot on.

Sorry maybe i worded it wrong but i meant wages were the crux of SCR.
