Once again we see the UK media taking an answer by Thomas Tuchel and presented to Jude Bellingham, a known vocal player, as a criticism, thus stirring up friction in the squad.

This subject was addressed by Simon Jordan on Talksport.

Nick Bateman "knows his footie"

Yes exactly that. The media in this country would love to see England fall apart so that they can write column inches about it and get paid - us winning, the team working together, no wags stories - they hate it.

I don't know why that ITV interviewer had to say to Bellingham what Tuchel had just said. Get the interviews and then shut up.

Citizen Smith

I thought Tuchel comes out of this a hell of a lot better than the interviewer, who was being sensationalist.

I know, just imagine saying or writing something to stir up a response, Nick.
The incredible irony.

Personally loved both the interviews (Tuchel and Bellingham), refreshing to see them both step over the party line a touch.

Gabriel Clark is a good piece to camera presenter but a crap interviewer.

Gabriel Clarke tried to put words into TT mouth and got owned ...
His ego was dented, and so he tried to belittle Bellingham by saying  TT says you could have played better... shithousery ...
The BBC has its critics, but ITVs Gabriel is a joke of a reporter...
TT should just blank him until he apologises...
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't,....you're right"

Of course they are trying to stir things up...that's what they do. 'Nothing doing' doesn't make much of a headline.

It's such obvious crap that only gullible morons will fall for it.

Unfortunately, there is no conspicuous shortage of gullible morons.

For once I agree with Nick. Thankfully I'm sure Tuchel will have already conveyed his feelings to the team prior to this interview and presumably someone would've notified Jude what Tuchel actually said.

Really hate this sort of gotcha journalism.

If Tuchel found no issues with the performance then he's not doing his job

It's almost like the media are incentivised to sensationalise drama for monetary gains.......
