As a kid, I had a poster advertising the upcoming World Cup 1966, featuring 'World Cup Willie.'

I still have it and it is signed by our own George Cohen, who Alan Mullery introduced me to some years ago. Whilst I have no intention of ever selling it, I was wondering if it might be worth anything?

I watched the final that year at a School CCF camp on Dartmoor, on a small black and white TV, along with the rest of my school mates who were there. I can remember it so well.

It's worth whatever anyone is willing to pay for it. An old poster with a player's signature, first of all they need to know it is a genuine signature (the story of how it was obtained helps there), then somebody has to want to buy it. George Cohen was a lot less well known than Moore or Hurst or Banks, so would lower the value. Ideally you want two or three potential buyers in a bidding war.

I am pleased that the OP doesn't want to sell it, its value is far greater than any monetary reward.

Partner sells vintage stuff at fairs. She sold a World Cup Willy doll for £240 quid the other day.
Re the poster. There are specialist aution house that sell oruginal posters and prints. Would be worth contacting them.
