This Club Has Undervalued Tete

Its taken me a while for me to get to this opinion, but I think this club has severely misevaluated Tete's importance to the team. In a lot of ways he is the heart of the defense and his intensity seems to permeate throughout the team. I love Bassey, but he is a bit erratic. Robinson uses his athleticism to compete and Andersen is more of a steely pro who is solid (although declining). Tete brings an edge and when he is in there it lifts the defense. Castagne is just not a consistent enough defender and he lacks some toughness a club like Fulham needs.

Castagne has found some form since the World Cup but I would rather sacrifice a bit going forward for what Tete brings to the mentality of the team. I want Tete back in the lineup as our every game RB and I feel like that helps bring an edge to the team that they need.

Bring Tete back into the fold!

I think that's down to AA to do that and not sure it's going to happen unfortunately..

There have been some poor errors of judgement so far from within the club and under AA.
Tete and other players appear to have been treated with poor man
management skills.
Saturday will be another huge challenge on the pitch and will separate the men from the boys.
If we get an adverse performance from the team, it will be interesting to see what the managers response will be.

Tete is like a sports car

Great if you want a run out in the sunshine and are Ok with breaking down on the hard shoulder every now and then

But if you need to get to work everyday to earn a living then you cant rely on him

I don't think the club has undervalued him, we offered him a 3 year contract lasts year if memory serves me correctly. It looks like the manager doesn't rate him.

I've said this for years now, when Tete is fit he's the best 1 vs 1 defender in the league. And it's not like he's no good at going forward, he is good.

Castagne at present is the better player, I love kenny but you cannot drop Castagne in his present form, kenny has been off the pace since his return and needs a good run in the team which at present he does'nt deserve,  Robbo, that is totally different, absolutely hopeless at crossing the ball, we need Sess to start

He is a better offensive RB. But the point of my post is that I believe Tete brings other qualities to the team that matter more. There is something to his grit and way he defends that elevates the back 4.

Clearly AA doenst value him as much, but I think when healthy he should start at RB over Castagne.

I wouldn't disagree that Castagne is the better player going forward, but it is simply not accurate that Kenny has been off the pace this season.  If I remember rightly he provided assists for two of the three goals in the cup game. His one on one defending is superior to Castagne and I think that is what we need in a difficult away game.

Robinson's crossing I agree is not great compared to Sess. The problem with Sess is that he simply does not have any recovery pace. He will only fit into our system if we play five at the back.

Yes, he is a bit injury prone, but among the best right backs in the league... Everton been chasing him for more than a year for a reason. Has to play when fit, and if Arbeloa can't see that, then it is very worrying indeed.

He's not undervalued at all.

He's been injured way more than benched and played more than benched which proves he's not been undervalued. Most of his "benchings" were after he'd been coming back from injury anyway.

Although AA needs support from the fans for his style, if Tete is in the side tomorrow and no points. It would show that he is listening.
