The Fulham experience '12

So there I was on a Sunday morning :)

Looking for the first Fulham win in my presence after a draw with Spurs in '07, a draw with CSKA in Sofia in '09 and a loss to Man City in '10. After our recent results I did have the feeling it might turn out to be a dull 0-0 but the chickens knew better.

Well, even though the result was disappointing - our performance wasn't. Once it was 1-1 I told my friend it's not the end and there's gonna be at least 2 more goals. Unfortunately we had to concede the 2-nd with 9 men on the pitch and the 3-rd as usual for our opponents amazing and unstopable shot that was also someone's first goal of the season...
We still created so many chances and made the game exciting while Sunderland left me with the impression they played the worst football I have ever seen.

However, the thing that made the whole experience so cool is not the football. Its actually the fans of Fulham and the players too. Met my old friends from Sofia again. Got to know a few guys from this forum and some other nice people as well. And like for the past 10 years I still continue to wonder which idiot came up with the stereotype about the "cold" english people.
Proved however the theory that people always meet twice (at least) when a som other guys, that I met at Sofia airport and had a beer with nearby their hotel later on, recognised me just as I was getting out of the Low Country and heading to the stadium.

I know I told some people I'll be down the pubs after the game, but then once it was over I followed another suggestion and went to get the flag signed. Added 9 new signatures to the Fulham FC Bulgaria flag :) It now has more signitures of Senior squard members then Under 18s! (yea remember the team we took to Sofia?)
Hope the players who weren't in the mood for autographs would be happy to sign when we win next time I am around!

Last one left about 7.30 so figured it was a bit late and just headed for an evening rest.

Cheers to everyone I met this time around! See you again (hopefully) next year!
Also those who got the pics please PM me so I get a hold of them :D

Good to meet you at the pub before the game, glad you enjoyed the match, irrespective of the result.

Next one's a win, promise!

Glad you had a good time.  Were you in the Johnny Haynes stand?

nope, was in Putney

as to funny stories guess the 2 guys at the parking lot where the players leave their cars are sure contenders:

They saw my flag and go:

"You are waiting for Berbatov? He not come here, didn't leave car here!"
Me: "NO, I'm waiting for Fulham players not just Berbatov"

5 minutes pass and they continue to wonder about the flag

"Fulham... FC.. Bulgaria - what does it mean?"
2 minutes later
"Are you from Bulgaria?"

Another funny moment was later when Somogyi gets out with the car and pulls up to sign whatever people wanted signed. So there he comes and stops and some of the rest there started wondering who the hell is it and why is he stopping (can't blame them tho). Turned out they didnt even have a collection card with his picture :D
