The game today

I thought we were quite poor today we didn't have enough shots but we do have a lot of quality players so hopefully next week we can get a result,  from the game today I thought

Stekelenburg was too casual I like him & the fact he tries to pick out a pass but in your own box is not the place to do it
Riether , Hangeland , Sidwell , Boateng , Dejagah & Berbatov did okay
Ruiz was really poor today
Richardson was okay think with a run of games he will do well
Mesca didn't impress today certainly has talent not at Kacaniklic level yet though
Taarabt did well when he came on looks a good signing
Sidwell scored a cracker & Boateng is tidy on the ball but we need a chantome type player in there I think
Kasami done well when he came on

We have some good players but Ruiz & Berbatov just doesn't work on today with the players we have as anyone new signed next week will be unlikely fit enough to start I would like to see

Rodallega was poor today but the service to him was so bad, atleast he is an outlet for us. 

I hope to see Bent & Gargano or Chantome this week would make a huge difference to us

I thought Boateng was trying too hard and making errors...I counted 7 stray passes from him...we badly need someone decent upfront with Berba.......and Richardson/Riise are just not good enough..

Taarabt and Kasami looked decent....

Ruiz has to be dropped I like him he is a good player but today he was awful

In the first half Ruiz was our best player. I just don't see why other people do not recognise what he can do for us and are too busy slagging him off for getting caught in possession.

I also noticed he had a few stray ones but a few of them were when there was no outlet for him to hit...
I also noticed a lot of the players struggle with their passing when under pressure almost implementing an anywhere will do mind-set.

Having said that I am loving Derek. His strength is unreal.
Really need a striker and this year Mr Jol needs to be ruthless in his picking of the starting 11 as being number 1 (and 2) on the team sheet regardless of how well you perform isn't good enough.

Taarabt is going to be a very good signing, at 1 point he glided past a defender cut inside and unfortunately run out of space but the way he went past defenders with little effort made for exciting viewing.

Sidwell had another decent game but I think he lacks consistent quality so would like a Gargano but when you need a guy that gives 100% you will struggle to find more committed players than Sidwell and Karagounis.

The Ruiz situation for me is him and Berba together take away from the team due to the way they both play...

This season due to either signings or experience from last season, I feel, we have a better player than him for every position he would be considered for.
