For a club that gets as much abuse as they do, it's a pretty classy thing to do.  Especially when you liken that reaction to that which other supporters will have given.

Yes, they stood to clap us for some minutes as we left- I thought it very classy and moving, and just something you don't expect these days

We were clapping them back as we filed out, some in tears, though I felt stunned, as if I'd witnessed a car crash.

I have to say that I was also chatting with Stoke fans in the pub before the game, and found them very friendly.

The Fulham fans were absolutely magnificent, standing and singing the whole game -we deserved better from the performance on the pitch, but the team seemed overcome by the occasion and I felt sorry for the players at the end.

Sidders and Brede and some others handed their shirts to the fans, while Stockdale seemed upset walking off, but gave his gloves to the fans.

But it was a day I was proud to be a Fulham fan because of our fantastic support.

There were 5 middle aged obese men wearing Elton John star glasses on the stad to our left that we're cretins. Looked like a half arsed hen party minus the 'L' plates, weirdos.

Oh aside from that had a nice chat with a Stoke fan on the way out who couldn't understand why our team had so little fight and a right back that poor.

They're very complementary on twitter about us too, saying we're a credit to our club, amongst other things. Really classy gesture by them clapping us out, and as someone else mentioned, things like that are remembered. Newcastle fans were mocked at Villa when they went down.

It was a nice gesture from the Stoke fans, but I also thought our fans were brilliant yesterday. I particularly enjoyed the chants of 'That's why we're going down' and 'You're not special, we lose every week'. I sometimes think those songs are counterproductive, particularly in the middle part of the season when the players need our backing, but we've had to witness so many pathetic performances this season, epitomised by yesterday's diabolical showing, that we deserved to let the players know how we really feel. Darren Bent's abuse was particularly warranted in my opinion. If he'd tucked away even half the chances he's missed this season we wouldn't be in the position we are in.

One thing I was disappointed about yesterday was the way the players just walked straight down the tunnel at full time. Maybe they were embarrassed or upset, but only Burn, Stockdale and Kasami stayed and gave their shirts to the crowd. For fans who have paid hundreds of pounds to watch so many abysmal away performances this season, and who have continuously backed the players in such a depressing season, I thought it was really poor the way most of them power walked straight down the tunnel with only a glance and clap up at the fans. I felt we deserved more than that yesterday.

The Stoke fans surprised me yesterday, genuinely respectful - and for me at least, shone some light after a dismal performance.  It was a long trek up and back on the coaches (25 in all) but huge thanks to the Fulham team for organising the travel.

Riise also spent a significant time after the game with the fans, hugging a couple of the kids and giving his shirt away - I think he was saying his goodbyes - a genuinely nice bloke.

As for our chanting, I loved the gallows humour, and the songs about Mark Hughes were totally justified by his "ambition" comments - I think, though, he probably regrets them now. The "We want our tenner back" chant was funny too.

I cannot in anyway condone the abuse for Darren Bent though.  I know I may get stick for this, but our relegation this season isn't down to him - yes, yesterday he missed a decent chance from a volley, but we've missed them all year - I accept that we  have all got angry this year, and for good reason - but for so many Fulham fans to single Bent out for the "you're not fit to wear the shirt" and "DB - What a W**ker" made me sad - the constant change with the team selection and formation has led to no sense of stability and the management, both of the team and the football club are accountable.

Darren Bent was visibly upset by the abuse, and, I'll be honest, I have no particular fondness for the guy - but he didn't deserve that.

I expect that next Sunday we will not see any of the loan players or those out of contract, I think we won't see the U18's though - don't we have to pick from the 25 player squad?

Finally - I hope we'll see the FA Youth Cup paraded round with the team - how very Fulhamish....

I feel sorry for bent. I think had he got his game time and confidence up he would have done much better for us. He didnt and having three managers drove me mad as a supporter so you can't blame him.

Met one tosser in the train station after the game who said that we will do well in League One but the Stoke fans were alright other than that on further reflection. I just wanted to get out of the place after the game, so I didn't go near the pubs or town/city centre.

But it was a day I was proud to be a Fulham fan because of our fantastic support.

I was also taken aback as they all clapped and waved the whole convoy as coaches as we left completely the opposite of what I expected, I'll see them in a different light from now on and what about the police convoy out onto the M6 in 5 minutes felt like royalty. The only blemish on the day was Bent, his effort at the end in front of us all summed up his whole performance.

Stoke is one of the grounds I've never been to before but I was impressed with the Stoke Fans attitude towards us - did not expect to be clapped out of the ground and many looks of genuine sympathy - they clearly knew how it feels. I'd always had a poor opinion of Stoke fans but you could not have anything but admiration for them on Saturday.

And I was pleased that we did not have a walk out of Fulham fans once the cause was lost - We kept behind the team till the bitter end -

5am out the door, half past 1 Sunday back in the door - A p poor way to spend your 50th birthday but it was pretty much what I expected from the team and a day out so I was nowhere near as gutted as against Hull. When both sets of fans are decent and give it their all and show each other a modicum of respect then even a bad day can be lived with.

Not like the Man U fans on the train back to Norwich who were the most obnoxious bunch of drunks I've seen in a while and caused nearly an hour of delays with the Police having to be called, not once but several times along the way
