I'll admit, I was a little worried, when I heard that NBC had purchased the rights to the Premier League here in the States.  I thought Fox did a great job, but now with U-Verse cable subscription....I get every game in HD at home and the ability to watch, when I'm away from home on the phone and I-Pad for free.  No more fuzzy links and virus attacks on the computer.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.... 082.gif

seems like a good service, very happy with it one week in. not sure how many a week they will do as replays but the united v. swansea match is up. that was one of the nice features about espngo/espn3, even though they had a fairly limited set of games.

It's only available in America on iPad I think though....

Professionally done by the crew at NBC Sports. Great job!

You can watch on the computer as well.  I checked out both over the course of the weekend, and it worked great.  I was expecting their servers to keel over but it was quite smooth.

Also, they've brought MOTD over in what I assume is the same format (extend highlights, then commentary, two hours total) and it was pretty great!  I heard FFC were last in the UK, but we were moved up to third-from-last here because of Altidore.

I was also very happy.
No more fuzzy, 3x5 inch view that keeps buffering every 30 seconds... :dft007:
Looked good even on a 15" monitor.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most...

psand, where do you live? I could only get the games on as selected by nbc (or cable provider more likely). I searched through every channel, coming up blank fo the Fulham game.

At 12.30 eastern time, swanseav manu was supposed to be on.....not.  It was one of the 3 games selected for that day.
Searched through the channels again and found the correct channel showing it. OK, I thought. Screen said...this program will be available shortly....if I go to that channel now, over 24 hours later, it says the same thing.

So, for me, it is no thanks so far. They advertise 3 games and only 2  available and NONE of the others, anywhere. The only information I can find is "call your cable operator". I might as well call president obama for all the good it will do rather than speak to those numptys.

teething troubles, I am sure, but I am not holding my breath when it comes to finding the Fulham matches.

The "overflow" games actually are handled differently depending on your cable setup.  I have Comcast/Xfinity, and it turns out they were hidden in the "On Demand" menu, which was very bizarre.  So check your website, and maybe google around the NBC sports pages.

The online streams may be a better bet, since they are available on some cable providers that don't carry the true overflow channels.

You are a cheap date.  Sure, if you are only interested in watching one game, NBC was better than ESPN, although the "bonus" games such as Fulham are only available on Direct TV if you have an HD box.  However, unlike with Fox, there are no replays, so for any game other than Fulham, you have to DVR it.  When six games are shown at once -- tough luck, you get to choose one.  And what's with the scores from other games in the corner?  It could not be more annoying.  I suspect I will get to see half as many games this year as I saw on Fox last year.

Jarv - What company do you use for TV?  I live in South Carolina and I have AT&T U-verse for my cable.  The games didn't show up early on the program guides.  They did begin to show up the day before, when I did a search for Fulham.  They showed the 3 games on NBC sports channel (7:30 / 10:00 / and 12:30.  The other games were on the pay per view channels (for free).  I guess some cable/sat. providers are better than others.  Looks like we've got the early game on the main NBC sports channel for Arsenal, so you should be able to catch that one.

I'll have to look into this.

But while I was amazed to see the United fixture (in NYC) yesterday on NBC, I missed the fixture before and after, and the one today as well (because they aren't televised) - they bought the rights and now instead of four matches they show 1 on regular tv. So far. Still haven't gotten "the soccer" right in the states. You can't rebrand something if you don't understand how to brand it in the first place. That boy Clint Dempsey went to the Seattle Super Sounders? and you'll never see him again. It's not like they show the American league on the television in the states. It's not part of the culture. Not that I even care or know the teams here, but it's all gone Pete Tong and I just want to see Fulham and the media here hasn't a clue - by no fault of their own - they just don't know any better. Still gonna be watching our matches on the computer I'm afraid.

Congrats, you win the award for most blatantly wrong info in one paragraph.

Wow - you insult my intelligence yet unable to provide any useful information to the contrary. Please , go on...

Psand....thank you. I am not panicking yet, mainly because I am moving in a month which gives me time to research cable providers to get the one which I think will provide me with the best coverage.
Currently comcast/xfinity.
So, will keep checking on here for help/information as we go forward.
My hope for next week, the Arsenal game advertised, they actually show it and don't blank it out as per the Swansea game.

OHfulhamfan

NBC did a great job indeed. Time Warner Cable, not so much. I really like Match of the Day. I have read lots of posts about it on here and I think it is head and shoulders above the Premiere League Review show that Fox had. Although I did like that show MOTD is much better, and Fulham wasn't last on MOTD!

OK.... I am a little annoyed with some of my fellow Yanks... I am going to try and go over this as nicely as possible and not be a complete jerk but seriously some of you seem like you are helpless when it comes to finding soccer on TV...

1. If you have a cable subscription that includes the channel called NBC Sports Network (this channel replaced what was formerly known as Versus) then you had 2 live matches broadcast on Saturday morning and 2 live on Sunday morning... 730am EST was Liverpool vs Stoke City, 10am was Arsenal vs Aston Villa, Sunday was 830am Crystal Palace vs Tottenham and 11am Chelsea vs Hull City... Later today on that same channel will be Man City vs Newcastle Utd at 3pmET

2. If you have cable or heck even if you do not... the Swansea vs Manchester United match was shown nationally on regular old NBC (the one that showed ER, The Voice, etc)... if you have a digital antennae, possibly a fricking paperclip sticking out of your TV or just the most basic of basic cable you were able to watch this match live...

3. If you are a subscriber to DirecTV, Xifinity/Comcast, Timewarner, Brighthouse, Verizon Fios or ATT U Verse etc.... you were also provide the ability to watch all the other 10am ET matches not show on the NBC Sports Network on what is called Premier League Extra Time (4 additional live matches Saturday)... Many of you stated that your cable system did not have that portion ready but that is complete BS as every system that stated they would carry it, did in fact carry it. I have confirmed for all providers with various soccer following friends around the country... you were probably incompetent in finding the channels on your system... whether it was in the On Demand section like Xfinity or perhaps slotted on a normal PPV channel that you have blocked out from your guide previously for scroll speed... I can assure you it was there had you known how to look for it... THE ONLY POSSIBLE EXCEPTION is if you are still in the 1990s and do not have an HD TV along with an HD cable/sat set top box... if you are one of those that is your own damn fault...

4. In regards to the internet streams... everyone should have been provided this as well (I personally did not test this out) by logging on to NBC Sports Live Extra and entering your cable/sat provider website credentials that you use to pay your cable/satellite bill on-line with... The only major provider I have heard that was not offering this was Charter...

The only unanswered question now is the ability to watch replayed games... I am checking on this as it was my understanding that throughout the week the NBC Sports Network was going to show the other games in the overnight hours which you can DVR. I will confirm...

Also for anyone considering switching providers... there is simply no comparison to DirecTV... they blow any other provider away when it comes to soccer coverage and their pricing is better than most (especially Xfinity) and they never drop the ball on new stuff... plus you get all the overflow games for Champions League and Europa as well.. it is simply a no-brainer if you have line of site available...

NBC did everything perfect for me Saturday... I had all my mates over and we watched every single live match in my man cave... it was a pretty sweet experience laughing at my Arsenal buddies as Brad Guzan denied them time and time again...
Just score 3+ goals a game and we will gain promotion...I promise
