I know there is a good chance of repeating what has already been said but replacing a manager is not always the solution. Whether it is the solution is no better than a 50/50 chance. Take Sunderland, Dicanio was a poor fit to begin with but he has now been replaced by Poyet. Has there been an upsurge? No! Do most people think They will be Relegated Yes!
Crystal Palace have a tempory manager after an awful start which did nothing to improve their results so far. They look certs for the drop as well
OK I accept that a new manager can galvanise a team so that they are all fireing at the top of their game for a short period. I can accept that some players get on with a new man better than the previous man. That affect can also work the other way with others. So then you look at coaching ability and the ability to manage. I'm not sure with all the coaching badges that are around that the coaching is that much different. If there are one or two managers with that little bit more then we would have to be very lucky to get one of those. Could we already have one of these in Jol?
If you go back in time history does not always look kindly on teams who change their manager mid term.  You could argue that even the great Roy Hodgson only escaped the drop by an ounce of luck. Sanchez lost his job as has already been mentioned after Halsey gave some wrong decisions in games against Arsenal. Bad luck also meant that we were without McBride for most of the season.
I think that if the club is being badly run then replacing the manager can make a difference. If it isn't then it can be a costly mistake

The TEAM not the CLUB is being badly run in my and plenty of others opinions and that's down to the team manager.

Sunderland bas been playing far better since Poyet took over IMO and did win this.weekend.
