I am having a Christmas Break on the Isle of Wight. After an horrendous journey yesterday, I am sitting here relaxed and wishing you all a merry christmas

Oh yes it has, it has more pot holes per square mile, than anywhere else in the UK

So Mr. Peabody, for those of us across the pond, what is on the Isle of Wight? What does one do there? Are the roads suitable for bike riding? Just curious. Is there a ferry to get to the Island?

The Isle of Wight ferry sails the short distance between Portsmouth and Ryde, on the Island...or you can go from Southampton, which is a longer crossing.

The joke is that the ferry is the only way to experience time travel in Britain, because the way of life on the island is slow, rural, and it seems old fashioned there as if you've gone back 20 or more years.

A great place for a relaxing holiday hiking, cycling or just doing nothing apart from eating and drinking !

We had a Xmas lunch at Blubeckers, Hampton Court, before going ice skating at the palace (cancelled due to the weather) and the jokes in the crackers got me wondering whether you have had a busy year!!
