Anyone know if we're doing this? If so where to?

PokerMatt

Personally, I hope not.

It's not going to be warm on the 22nd in West Bromwich so I'd rather the team got used to each other in the conditions we'll be playing in over the next few weeks.

West Brom are coming to Spain. Would be cool if Fulham did to. United are going to Dubai. Bit unnecessary really.

FPT

West Ham are also in Dubai.

As PokerMatt said, we're playing in wind, rain and cold, so you've got to train in wind, rain and cold. Although the idea of getting away is useful for team bonding and the heat can provide another level of intensity to training. If we were, I don't think we'd have player appearances in the Fulham store on the 18th...

Just emailed them. This is what they said:

"We do not currently have anything planned with regards to the players flying off anywhere, but I can confirm they're working tirelessly at the training ground and will continue to do so over their break to ensure we have the best possible chance of getting a positive result against West Bromwich Albion next weekend".

I hear the Sahara is pretty nice this time of year.
Self proclaimed tactical genius, football manager approved.

We'll soon see what effect West Brom's has had on them!

West Brom to Spain, Wet Spam to Dubai? FFC take a long weekend Selsey for a run up the beach. That'll put hairs on their chests!

The wife and I took our nipper to Selsey a while back, stayed in a static caravan and our little one had a whale of a time. The neighbours on three sides were all QPR families, which was a bit iffy because they'd just been relegated. Has anyone else got a holiday story to share?

As we are in a sink or swim situation - somewhere near to Chertsey (in Thames) might be a good idea.
It could be better, but it's not a fantasy:

Sounds more like the players have some personal time to themselves. Riether had an instagram pic up saying he was off to Germany for a few days.

The players do need a few days personal time - to catch up with their agents, and look at transfer options in advance of next season...

Ronnief

A few days relaxation after the recent intense period of games would certainly help the players. Those who may have to move house or find suitable accomodation will be more relaxed. Training in these very boggy conditions also do not help, a long weekend would be good then back to serious training prior to West Brom.

Hope he enjoys the trip.
And doesn't have to pay the penalty for missing a few days training.
