I've just had a look at the table - it looks like they might still be harbouring outside hopes of a play-off place so they might try and give us more of a game than Wolves, Aston Villa and Derby.

I called it that we were going to beat Villa and Wolves, but I have a feeling Preston will take points off us this weekend. They are a very good side, well organised, press and chase teams for 90 mins. I think their energy alone will be like no other side we have played recently. I watched a fair bit of them and their work rate and endeavour I think will get them the final top 6 spot. I am and have been most concerned about this game since Villa.

Lets hope the boys turn up as to win there we will need to be at our best thats for sure. COYW

I was thinking that they might be hoping to join Villa, Derby and Cardiff in the play-offs.

Preston have wonderful, passionate fans. We would be wise to respect them, they're a very cohesive squad.

Indeed.  The few I spoke to last season were affable enough when I asked why they were wearing bowler hats.  Something to do with 'gentry day'.  Maybe we should reciprocate by wearing a yard of black pudding around our necks as a recognition of Northern haute cuisine...
