Old Sod's Army-Comments from the mess.

Monday was painful. After the 0-7 at Blackburn this silly old sod began to let his imagination run away with him. I should have known better than to allow all sorts of records being dreamt of. I think the form began to stutter with the Derby game. Up to then it was goals galore but that night three against the woodwork and one point blank off the line. Preston got at us as did Luton, we should have beaten Boscombe but Sheffield cramped us up. However on Monday I was dismayed to see the return of Parker's style of faffing about when we needed someone to take a risk and actually run at them.
I don't think it helps though to see our boss sat with his head in his hands when we were struggling. Just let worrying fans like me do that!

Every team has a sluggish run but I hope ours is over now and we are back to winning ways v Birmingham. Well obviously so! 049:gif

Yes, I am right along side you bog. Just hope Silva can do something to change the pattern of the last five games, we really don't want more of the same.

Filham. After our early season form and goals tally to see us slip into the play off places is something I would find hard to accept....  :022:

That's not going to happen Sir. Back on form in our next game. Silva's head in his hands was because the players did not play to the game plan. I reckon a few good rrrse kickings in the dressing room and on the training ground and we'll be back on song.

Now, back to the ablutions.  :54: :54: :54:

Fernhurst

Morning Captain, it surely is an issue the gafer is wrestling with. We are playing our strongest eleven each week but our strength and effectiveness has dissipated. Very impressed how Sheffield dealt with us but the rumblings from the othe other ranks are not really suggesting how things can change.
A decent win on Saturday may get the confidence flowing again, anything else maybe disastrous.

It maybe another Ashted (?) situation where Ray Lewington and Alan Cork had to pull on the boots.
Hope you have a tub of dubbin in the shed! We may have to add some steel to midfield.

The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Peabody

Not to worry bog, like I say, all form is temporary. It's just a question of when it turns. What is it that Jonsey says,? Don't Panic

No game on Boxing Day now. Emm. Just been looking for me dubbin Fernhurst. None left but found a new lace for me leather football....

That was what he said Peabody...but some would think we're all doooooomed.  :022:
