We got relegated  both times. That was put down to the fact that we did not have enough time to sign players '
this time we won the Championship and have plenty of time to sign new players.
As yet I dont think we have signed anyone yet. Come on Fulham we need to sign new players.

Well very nearly the 3rd of June so I can't argue with that.

Come on Fulham!!

Andy S

That was an excuse a lot of people made. In reality that is not the reason. The real reason is play off winners are always favourite to do the drop so it's harder to sign decent players. It is not easy even now but have faith that we can do it this time

How can anyone complain about lack of signings before the window had even opened?

toshes mate

When Marco Silva starts complaining (if he ever does) then I'll worry but until then I'll enjoy the suspense and anticipation for once.

I'd guess because although transfers aren't formalised until the 1st of July they can still be agreed and announced (look at Villa having announced a few signings already)

They can also be agreed and not announced.

Or they could be not agreed and therefore not announced

Yes, and in all those situations we have still had plenty of more time to get it right this time around. That's an objective advantage, and there is no reason at all to believe that we have done nothing with the time available. Unless you want to complain for the sake of it, of course.

S.F.Sorrow

There's still time. There's no point in signing players early just for the sake of it. The only thing that matters is that we have 70-80% of our starting 11 ready for pre-season and 90% ready for the first game. If we repeat the same mistakes and start the season without the necessary upgrades or with an unsettled squad we're heading back for the Championship.

This means we will probably need around 6-8 players within the next 4-5 weeks and 8-10 players before the start of the season. It's a tough ask. Lets hope our recruitment team can handle it. We can't afford yet another poor start to the season in the Premier League.

I don't think being first with promotion has helped us at all in the transfer market although being top of the table with 106 goals scored may have made us more attractive t0 players than the other promoted teams'

Right now the big six are sorting out their players for next season, when they have done most of their business any players out in the cold may be looking for a home with other premier clubs and some good players may be available.

Villa have announced 3 incoming transfers.  The other 18 clubs have announced 6 between them. Obviously it's time for us to panic. 🙄
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

Don't worry TK and Silva will have their targets, they are keeping their powder dry and will chose the right time to strike.
(I have been labelled pessimistic a couple of times recently and am trying hard to correct that trait)

Gezza

Can we please remember that Fulham, as a newly promoted team, will be shopping in the bargain basement for Premiership Quality players. Available players of the right quality will also be waiting to see if other options ( more likely to stay up / better package ) are available before signing for Fulham. I expect most  business to be concluded on the final day of the transfer window. I believe that anybody who thinks that we conclude a number of significant signings early doors is living in cloud cuckoo land.

But I actually think that's very likely. We always tend to keep our powder dry so I don't expect any of the heavily trawled potential signings to come our way. It'll likely be players we haven't even considered. I'm ok with that as long as we get a few in early. There are bound to be a few last minute incomings as well and that's inevitable.

I'll be disappointed if we haven't made at least 2 or 3 signings before the start of Pre-Season, but don't really see the difference between signing someone tomorrow and signing someone on the day before Pre-Season starts in that respect.

Only difference is the prospective new player could spend their new signing on bonus in Mykonos, Dubai etc.
