Hopefully their departures will be the catalyst for a steady downwards trajectory in Liverpool's fortunes
Why would you want that ? They are the best footballing team in the country !
I thought that was us last season tbh.

Where will they go to? The ones with the money and no real plans are Newcastle and PSG - just throwing money around. Real and Barca maybe a draw because of their names but they are pretty much skint. Man City has a plan and it doesn't involve just buying players with reputations - they have to fit into the team. Man Utd and Chelsea are a step down as are Bayern Munich in terms of prestige or current trajectories.  Italian clubs? Don't have the money.

Newcastle have a clear vision. They've set timelines by which they wish to reach the EL, CL and challenge for the title. Mane and Salah are too old to move to Newcastle.

Good luck to them but they aren't plans that would suit two players used to winning things at the moment - as you say - too old.
