West Ham just signed Kehrer from PSG. He is a CB, 25 years old and a regular in the PSG team and the German national team. The fee is 10 million. What am I missing? Is their some baggage their or has his contact almost run down. We just paid 15 million for Diop. There must be a good explanation.

I suppose there doesn't.

That is not good to hear, suggests we are paying over the odds because we have needs that are greater than others.

He was in his 5th year, so guessing the last year of his contract.

Bassey the warrior

He was unlikely to come here anyway.

A team challenging for Europe or a team quite likely in a relegation battle. Tough choice.

West Ham can pay more wages as they pay bugger all for their stadium

Yes, criminal that was/is.

Depends how diop fairs this year, £15m could be a bargain if he helps us avoid relegation, keep fingers crossed, sometimes players are suited to different systems

simplyfulham

He's not a regular for PSG which I think is the issue there.

Maybe more accurately, he isn't first choice for them this season. He's behind Ramos, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mukiele and Diallo. He was competing for 4th choice at best.

Can only imagine the price tag is due to fewer years on his contract and PSG don't exactly need the money. Maybe they just weren't fussed?

Let's also remember Diop can hit the ground running, having PL experience.  That is worth a few bob to me.
