We really are the poor relations if it's closed due to the ladies game at the dog track?

That is a late call by tfl, glad I made the decision not to go, I would have to leave if extra time happened and walk to Hammersmith.
Guy goes into the doctor's.
"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

We Are Premier League

Is there much chance of making the last tube to the city if we go in to extra time?

Does that mean Parsons Green will also be closed or just Putney?

Anyone know the answer? I'm travelling from Norwich and the last train is 11.30pm at Liverpool Street so I would like to know rich station to walk to.

Demeant0r, just looked up London transport closures and can't see PG listed. I can see Putney listed as 'exit only' due to football.

Maybe best to check again later?

I would like to see the records of problems on that District line on our match days, must be the worst in the country.

Demeant0r, I too am traveling back to Liverpool Street, last train I can get is at 23:58, with an hour walk the other end, I could get a cab rather than walk at the other end but I'm too much of a skinflint. Maybe see you on the concourse, if I miss the last train I will sit on one of the benches till first train out at 4:40 a.m.

Copied and Pasted from the TFL Status Page...

"PUTNEY BRIDGE STATION: Wednesday 24 January, between 2115 and 2300 the station will be exit only due to football matches in the area. Please use Putney National Rail station or Hammersmith instead."

I've been used to rushing to get trains/coaches back up north after games, sometimes  having to get the overnight coach, but sadly unable to go tonight, but reckon you should get your train ok if no extra time - if the game finishes around 10, but if extra time, think you could make it if you get a move on, but could be close.

You could walk/jog, or get a cab, down to Hammersmith tube - cost a fortune to get a cab all the way to Liverpool Street, or even jump on a bus.
EST time from Hammersmith tube to Liverpool Street, 29 mins- change at Paddington for the Elizabeth Line.

I've sent you a PM with my number to organise a lift.

Seems odd the station was closed for a crowd of less than 12,000 at the dog track?
