Quote from: We Are Premier League on October 02, 2024, 12:30:10 PMChillwell is allegedly on £200k per week so I don't think he is an option for us.

Kiernan Tierney would be my suggestion, structured deal with most money paid based on matches played.

I doubt Chilwell will get that anywhere else. If he's fit then I would offer £120k per week.

Our system asks a lot of the fullbacks.  Robinson is perfect for it.  That said it wasn't so long ago he was receiving brickbats rather than bouquets.  I'd reserve judgement on Sessegnon until I've seen him have a proper go.  He's not 19 any more and I'm prepared to believe that Mourinho and Conte might have taught him a thing or two about defending since his last proper run at fullback in a Fulham shirt.  Seeing is believing and right now we're not seeing him.

If we were to venture into the market, we might continue to test Palace's willingness to sell their best defenders and sound out Tyrick Mitchell.  Better that than help Chelsea with respect to the underwhelming Chilwell.

I think one often forgotten thing about Marco is that he was a fullback in his playing days and I'd bet he has a whole lot to do with Robinson's growth as well as Tete's. If there is anyone that can get a tune out of Sess it is very likely to be Marco and if not we know we have someone with a very good eye for the position and how to coach it.

Keep him, keep him, oh, and by the way, keep him.
