Pep's thoughts at that time?

"I wish I had taken the Fulham job and been in charge of good players without the gigantic egos"
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Is Pep really a 'tactical genius' if he only wins when having by far the best team in the league?

I genuinely think he is a tactical genius, his teams have been some of the best I've ever seen, and he is very inventive in his approach and constantly evolves his teams. The way Gvardiol would go between being a CB, a LWB and almost a CF v us at the cottage last year was a good example of crazy ideas of his that somehow work.

What's been happening recently is totally remarkable. Since Rodri's injury they've fallen apart. We really should have beaten them.

Working with a soulless and corrupt club like City is a blight on his character though in my opinion.

It's easier to be a tactical genius when you have an enormous fat wallet to play with.
Yet he still relies on his players to dive and cheat.

Of course it's easier to win with amazing players. Do think it's reductive to use that to disprove the idea he's a brilliant manager though.

Perhaps, but he is not been managing brilliantly over the last ten games, and when you consider the vast resources he has at his disposal, i feel even he is doubting himself.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Then he needs to give himself a Pep talk.

I thought it was appalling and that he should have been carded for simulation.

Undoubtedly, what's happening now is quite incredible. Nobody saw it coming, going from formidable to a laughing stock almost overnight.

He'll be envying Klopp who left on a high, Guardiola looks burnt out and lost right now. Shouldn't have signed that contract extension.

I think we underrate offield issues more than should. Yes, City are aging and injured and their CM is getting run-over in matches, but the offfield stuff is looming large. Its funny how things happening with a club seem to trickle down. Look at United and Chelsea. Everton at a lower level. When the club is in disarray it weirdly finds a way to trickle down.

I bet there will be some stories after the season about why it all fell apart. And maybe Pep is to blame as well as his message is probably wearing thin. But its probably a few things leading to this downfall.
