Their young CB looks totally out of his depth, I feel for him.

HV71

Yes in less than five's minutes his mistake leads to a goal then he gets booked for a foul on Palmer . As you say - feel for him - only 20 yrs old

Sgt Fulham

Didn't they just drop £40m on that guy?

Fulham 442

Chelsea should be 2 nil up... obviously glad they're not!

Jim©

Yep £40m.after lens paying £800k for him last summer. The dodgiest deal in history (a d I called it before this game)

Drewry66

That was harsh. Really felt for the lad. To be fair to him settled a bit after 10 mins but looked like he was going to cry after that first goal.

Other new one up front looks decent however. Looked very dangerous. Having said that useless at watching the line. Offside almost every time and quickest player on the pitch so no need. Frigging city...having a bad time so just spend your way out of it without a care in the world.

White Knight

3 1 Chelsea caught out twice by counter attacks.

SP

I gave up after 20 minutes, anyone watch the game? How did 'generational talent' Cole Palmer play?

Beautiful stuff. My heart bleeds for them.  ::thumb::

I think it's the worst debut I've ever seen, even though the consequences didn't end up hurting Citeh. From the evidence I don't think there is a chance he reaches the level required. Hope he lands on his feet somewhere.

Wow! Don't sit on the fence will you?
Did you ever witness Stefjo's debut for us ? If you did you might consider giving the kid a bit more slack.

Did you by chance watch? It wasn't the goal that makes me think that. They essentially went to playing with 10 men with Kovacic dropping to right CB because the kid couldn't play a pass. I'd never seen anything like it. But hope I'm wrong and he sorts it out!

HV71

Yes I did watch it - and he was substituted . Poor chap had a dreadful game but it doesn't mean that he won't ever make it . He may - he may not -but one half isn't enough to write him off. That is all I'm saying. Football isn't an instant meal - it takes time and patience .

Genuine question, if it's dodgy, what do you think was the ulterior motive? I'm not disagreeing, just genuinely wondering who would benefit and how.

One thing I will say is unless they have an injury crisis in that position it seems absurd that Pep threw him in at the deep end like that today

Jonathan Woodgate's Real Madrid debut is the benchmark. Own goal then a red card.

Didn't watch it. I maintain this takes the cake for matches I've watched 🏆
