Well, well mendis we assume he's silvas agent, that explains every summer we have problems with rumours about silva there's a snake in the grass. He was with mark hughes once and I thought he was involved with wolves something about buying 10% of wolves that's a 1st they usually take never give.

To be fair, the OP does have a point about Mendes, so let's not be too quick to shoot him down here.

Mendes, has a history of constantly trying to move his clients around, or cause media turmoil to get what he wants.

In this instance, Fulham have not been forthcoming with a new deal, so have been told, that Mendes has indeed stuck his oar in again.

You all take the pee saying 'We're doomed' etc, but what this does, is put doubt on Silva's commitment for next season, and players won't sign.

Silva still has 1 year left on his contract, Mendes needs to keep his oar out until then.

the problem is that Mendes will do what's best for his client and that means putting pressure on whoever holds the current contract so that he can negotiate a better deal so he won't keep quiet, its his job to stir things up?

True, but remember the adage "Solicitors advise, clients instruct."  Same here and Marco Silva is no fool.
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

Just because Mick's writing style is a bit eccentric doesn't mean we should automatically dismiss what he has to say. Yes, his Tony bashing gets a bit repetitive but on other subjects he's often very well informed. Mendes does have history and it's not good.

Wasn't he behind a lot of the Wolves signings when they were in the Championship? I would have thought the connection with Silva would have worked in our favour for getting players in but maybe the hierarchy don't trust him.

True, but thats his job. Im sure when we were looking for a manager mendes put forward his candidate, Marco Silva. its how the footballing world works.

In the last days MAF we had a similar arrangement with Jol's agent Mino Raiola, hence every out of work 30-something on his books got sent our way, which suited Jol and the Fulham board because we were looking for short-term fixes without a big outlay or the effort of proper scouting. The Jiminez and Traore deals as examples did have a similar flavour.
