Will Samuel Chukwueze leave AC Milan? Super Eagles star drops hint about his future amid Fulham, Villarreal links
Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has hinted that he would like to stay at AC Milan despite his poor campaign in the just-concluded season, Soccernet.ng reports.

Chukwueze endured a difficult campaign with AC Milan in the Serie A, as his game time was badly limited. He only managed three goals and two assists in 26 league games last season.

In fact, since the start of the year, Chukwueze only managed 180 minutes of action at the club. And although Conceicao, who was in charge has now been replaced by Massimiliano Allegri, it appears that the Nigerian's days at AC Milan are numbered.

Moreover, in recent weeks, there have been reports that the Rossoneri see Chukwueze as dispensaries and are willing to let him leave.

Fulham and Villarreal have been touted as potential destinations, as both teams need attacking reinforcements.

Recall that Chukwueze played some of his best football with the Yellow Submarine. So the club would likely welcome him back if they can reach a financial agreement with AC Milan.

However, while talks about Chukwueze leaving the Rossoneri continue, the Super Eagles star still sees his future with the 19-time Scudetto winners.

"Milan's supporters are among the best in the world. They truly deserve more (than we did last season)," Chukwueze told Modo Victor.

"They stand with us through rain and cold, taking off their shirts, singing, and backing the team wholeheartedly."

"Unfortunately, this season we let them down. I hope next season will be much better – with triumphs in the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and a return to the Champions League to make up for it all."

Why staying at AC Milan might be a bad idea for Samuel Chukwueze
Chukwueze has spent two seasons at AC Milan, and his situation has only gotten worse. He has been starved of game time badly.

He has played under three coaches-Stefano Pioli, Conceicao, and Paulo Fonseca- and he did not cement his place as a starter under any of them.

With the history that he has in Italy, it is not certain that his fortunes will improve under the new coach. As such, he should look at other opportunities.

Returning to Villarreal would not be a bad idea as he has good history with them. He will also play in the UEFA Champions League.

Premier League club Fulham would not be a bad idea too. If they can guarantee him enough playing time, it would not be a bad deal.

'Margaritas, caviar and £20,000 season tickets' – City AM visits Fulham's Riverside Sky Deck
Citty AM's sports editor Matt Hardy has authored an article following his visit to Fulham's Riverside Stand Sky Deck, which had a rather unfortunate debut ahead of the 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Everton last month.

Hardy quotes the infamous line from chief executive Alistair Mackintosh – 'at "other clubs you hear the c-word – here the c-words are champagne and caviar'. The rejoinder from a Fulhamish contributor was stinging, even if we don't endorse the sentiment. The other C-word that leaps out in Hardy's piece was the suggestion from 'a senior figure involved in the construction' of the stand that the club's plan was to 'lure casual fans from Stamford Bridge'.

The rooftop pool won't open until November, when temperatures will surely mean only the bravest will be dipping a toe in the water. Hardy notes that Fulham flirted with leaving Craven Cottage and that Mohamed Al-Fayed's plans were abandoned. There is no mention of the fact that it was the fans who forced the U-turn, through their 'Back to the Cottage' campaign. He does say:

"The club would be silly to give up their prime location, and in regenerating the Riverside they've been able to keep the famous Johnny Haynes Stand opposite and the infamous Craven Cottage cornerstone."

Hardy also writes:

"The reality of modern football is the £20,000 season ticket, and that'll never change."

The key, of course, is selling the high-price packages in such large numbers that both the Riverside Stand and Fulham Pier can make inroads into the gap between what Shahid Khan spends on running the club and Fulham generate in revenue. One thing's for sure, the Whites won't be sustainable, Mackintosh's stated goal, for a long time to come.

Vladimír Coufal on West Ham frustration, Fulham, and his current transfer plan
Vladimir Coufal has admitted that he was left frustrated by West Ham United's refusal to let him join Fulham earlier this year.

Dnes Prague have an interview with the West Ham defender today as he gets set to leave the club next month.

The full back is set to bring an end to a five-year stay with the Hammers as they've decided not to renew his contract, which expires next month.

He's yet to decide where he's going next, although the 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Everton, where former manager David Moyes, who was a big fan of his at West Ham, is now in charge.

Coufal is not too concerned at the minute, focusing on the international break with the Czech Republic before turning his attention to club football again.

"I'm calm, I'm fine, that's football life," he said.

"After the meeting, I'll take a vacation and start preparing for the new season, as if I were under contract.

"It (his goodbye to West Ham) was emotionally tense and demanding. I would compare it to not wanting to leave the girl you love, but she wants to leave you."

That goodbye could have come sooner as Fulham were keen to sign the full-back in the January transfer window.

Coufal was also keen on the move given it would have allowed him to stay in London and secured him a new contract at a new club, rather than being in the situation he currently finds himself in.

West Ham eventually blocked the move as an agreement with Fulham wasn't reached, something which Coufal 'found hard to bear' at the time, but insists he's now moved on from.

"That's part of football. They said they wouldn't let me leave and I've already moved on," he added.

If Fulham don't return for him this summer when he does depart West Ham, then a move to sunnier climates could be an idea instead.

"There are preferences, it would be ideal to stay in England, but there are other options. I would like Spain, where it's warm," he concluded.

Player departures
The Club can confirm that Willian and Carlos Vinicius will depart Fulham upon the expiry of their respective contracts at the end of this month.

Tom Cairney and Kenny Tete have been offered new contracts, as have Luc De Fougerolles, Callum Osmand and Lemar Gordon.

Departing players

    Carlos Vinicius
    Willian
    Terry Ablade
    Luca Ashby-Hammond
    Chris Donnell
    Imani Lanquedoc
    Connor McAvoy
    Delano McCoy-Splatt
    Callum McFarlane
    Damon Park
    Stefan Parkes
    Luca Picotto
    Oscar Varney

Willian departs after a third spell at Craven Cottage, bringing his total number of appearances for the Club to 79.

Over the last three years, the experienced winger scored 10 times and laid on seven assists, playing a valuable role in helping Fulham record three consecutive mid-table finishes.

His immaculate strike against Nottingham Forest in 2022/23 ended up winning Goal of the Season, while he also netted incredibly memorable goals against Leeds, Chelsea and Wolves.

Carlos Vinicius arrived on deadline day at the beginning of our first season back in the Premier League.

His first goal in black and white will forever be fondly remembered by fans, as his header clinched a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in January 2023 – our first victory over our neighbours in 17 years.

Another key contribution followed the next season when he bagged the winner against Luton Town within minutes of coming off the bench, before he joined Galatasary on loan for the second half of the campaign.

Vini – a lively presence around the Training Ground – departs with 11 goal involvements (8G, 3A) in 52 Fulham appearances.

We would like to thank all the players leaving us this summer for their efforts during their time at the Club, and wish them all the very best of luck in their next chapters.

Fulham release Willian and Vinicius
Fulham have officially confirmed that they will release Brazilians Willian and Carlos Vinicius at the end of June as well as eleven other senior players.

A statement on the club's website states that captain Tom Cairney and Kenny Tete have been offered new contracts alongside Luc de Fougerolles, Callum Osmand and Lemar Gordon.

Former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian made 79 appearances across two spells at Craven Cottage, scoring ten goals, and contributing seven assists. He scored the first goal against his former employers when Fulham recorded their first win over Chelsea in seventeen years in 2023, when Vinicius headed the winner – the centre forward's first goal for Fulham. Vinicius leaves SW6 having scored times in 52 games.

The other players to depart are Finnish forward Terry Ablade – who was on loan with Partick Thistle this season, goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond, captain of the under-21s Chris Donell, winger Imani Lanquedoc, centre back Connor McAvoy, Jamaican international Delano McCoy-Splatt, centre forward Callum McFarlane, defender Damon Park and full backs Stefan Parkes and Luca Picotto.

Fulham confirm departures of Willian and Vinicius
Fulham have confirmed the departures of Willian and Carlos Vinicius.

Striker Vinicius, 30, started just 13 Premier League matches after moving to Craven Cottage from Benfica three years ago and was widely expected to leave when his contract expires this summer.

His seven league goals for Fulham famously included the winner against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in January 2023.

Fellow Brazilian Willian – who also scored in that match, against his former club – returned to Fulham in February, seven months after leaving, and signed a deal until the end of the campaign.

Fulham have also released Terry Ablade, Luca Ashby-Hammond, Chris Donnell, Imani Lanquedoc, Connor McAvoy, Delano McCoy-Splatt, Callum McFarlane, Damon Park, Stefan Parkes, Luca Picotto and Oscar Varney.

Kenny Tete and club captain Tom Cairney, whose contracts expire this summer as well, have been offered new deals.

Tom Cairney offered new Fulham contract as midfielder weighs up huge Wrexham move
Cairney is out of contract this summer and Wrexham want to sign the Fulham captain

Fulham have offered a new contract to captain Tom Cairney.

The Cottagers announced their retained and released list on Wednesday, revealing that Willian and Carlos Vinicius are leaving as free agents this summer when their deals expire.

Cairney and right-back Kenny Tete have been offered new contracts to extend their stay at Craven Cottage, but neither player has yet signed the proposed deals.

Speaking after Fulham's final game of the season against Manchester City, Cairney admitted in an interview: "We'll see what happens.

"We are still in talks, so it's a weird feeling right now. I don't know which way to go about it, obviously I want to thank a few people, but at the same time, we're still in talks."

Cairney has played more 350 games and scored 47 goals in a decade at Fulham since moving to Craven Cottage from Blackburn in 2015.

The 34-year-old has a lucrative offer from Wrexham and is understood to be considering his options, with game time at Fulham set to be limited again next season if he signed a new deal.

Willian, who turns 37 in August, left Fulham in 2024 to join Olympiacos but ripped up his contract in Greece in December and rejoined Fulham on a six-month contract in February.

Fulham hope Tete will sign a new deal but risk losing the right-back for free if he does not.

New contracts have also been offered to youngsters Luc De Fougerolles, Callum Osmand and Lemar Gordon but none have signed on yet.

A list of 13 players who will exit Fulham this season includes Willian and also Brazilian striker Vinicius.

Muniz: 'There's lots I can improve'
Rodrigo Muniz has given a great interview to The Athletic dissecting all of the goals he scored for Fulham last season.

Top of the bill – of course – was his stoppage-time winner at Stamford Bridge. But he pauses the interview to reach for his phone, to show the video that his wife took from the Shed End.

"I think this angle is much better. My wife goes to all of the games. Carabao Cup, home and away, everything!"

The improvement in Muniz's Fulham goal return – and the calibre of opponents the Brazilian has found the net against – has been stark. He is modest and says the reason he was able to become the first player since Harry Kane in 2016 to score at Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, St. James' Park and Chelsea in the same season is because of the hard work he's put in with Marco Silva's coaching staff at Motspur Park.

"I think with confidence, these things just happen normally. I think Rodrigo two years ago would have tried to score against Chelsea with a first-time shot and maybe missed it, but with a bit more conviction now, I managed to keep calm because I'm more prepared for these situations. I think I have turned into a good attacker, but there are lots of things I need to improve. Playing more, training well, this is going to turn me into a better player."

He details his close relationship with Silva and Andreas Pereira as well as sharing his dreams of playing in the Champions' League and representing his country. If Muniz keeps up his remarkable progression, then Carlo Ancelotti might soon be calling.

Wales forward Wilson in talks over new Fulham deal
Harry Wilson says he is in discussions over a new long-term deal at Fulham.

The 28-year-old is under contract at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2026 after the Premier League club took up an option to extend his current agreement by a year.

But the Wales forward, who has scored 25 goals in 146 Fulham appearances since joining from Liverpool in 2021, is keen to finalise a longer contract.

"They've taken up the option of my extension - when I signed it was for four years with an option," said Wilson.

"We are in talks for a new deal. The option was just in case a deal doesn't get done. My main option would be to sign a new deal at Fulham and hopefully we can get to an agreement on that."

Wilson is with Wales for their World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein on Friday and Belgium next Monday.

He finished the club season in good form, having returned to action in April after being sidelined by a foot injury for almost three months.

Wilson, who scored six goals in 27 Fulham appearances in 2024-25, feels comfortable with the Cottagers.

"It is a great club in the Premier League, which is where I want to play my football, and I'm really happy here," he added.

"I had a lot of loans earlier in my career - they were great for me. I wasn't going to get the minutes I wanted at Liverpool so the loans really helped me in my development.

"But then I got to a point in my personal life where I wanted somewhere to settle with the family and I've found that at Fulham."

Marco Silva's Fulham Future Depends on Key Transfer Backing
Fulham Transfers: A Defining Summer of Change

As the summer transfer window looms, Fulham find themselves navigating familiar yet uncomfortable territory — ambition shadowed by uncertainty. It is a moment that could shape the identity of Marco Silva's side for seasons to come, or unravel the quiet stability he has carefully constructed.

Silva's Backing Key to Progress
In a league where vision must be matched by resources, Marco Silva's patience may be tested. Juventus, Tottenham and Al Hilal have all expressed interest in the Fulham boss. For now, he remains in place, but Fulham's board must prove that their ambitions align with his.

The squad has depth, certainly, but lacks sharpness in critical areas. Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz have taken turns leading the line, scoring inconsistently in Silva's preferred 4-2-3-1 formation. Muniz's tally of eight league goals reflects promise, but not enough to deter recruitment. Fulham now seek a third forward to add edge to their attack — a striker who can elevate rather than merely complement.

Shifting Foundations in Defence and Midfield
There are broader cracks forming too. Kenny Tete has not yet signed a new contract, and Fulham will look for alternatives should negotiations collapse. In central midfield, reinforcements are under consideration. Silva's style demands more than solidity — it needs tempo, control, and quality in transition. Fulham may dip into the market to find that balance.

The situation on the wings is just as delicate. Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal, and uncertainty surrounds Willian's future. Now 36, the Brazilian could move on as a free agent, potentially ending a steady if unspectacular chapter at Craven Cottage. His departure would necessitate urgent action.

Targets and Temptations
Fulham retain an interest in Lyon's Rayan Cherki, though he now finds himself on the radar of both Manchester clubs. His price tag may soon soar beyond Fulham's budget. Rafa Silva, currently at Besiktas, is another option under discussion.

In attack, Ricardo Pepi remains a name of interest. The US international was on West Ham's list in January before they opted for Evan Ferguson. Fulham like him, but his position at PSV complicates things.

Carlos Vinicius is expected to move on. If that happens, Fulham's summer rebuild will need to be sharp, proactive, and brave.

Leadership Uncertain as Cairney Faces Exit
Captain Tom Cairney, the club's heartbeat for over a decade, is out of contract. If he walks away, it would mark the end of an era and the loss of Fulham's most enduring presence. Leadership, consistency, experience — all would need replacing.

Meanwhile, Fulham fans will watch Liverpool's pursuit of Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez with added interest. If the Reds succeed, they may circle back to Fulham's own Antonee Robinson, admired across Europe for his dynamic full-back displays.

There is no escaping the reality: this summer is a turning point. Fulham must get their transfers right, or risk stagnation at best and decline at worst.

Wrexham target Tom Cairney's future takes fresh twist as Fulham midfielder weighs up options after receiving lucrative offer from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side
Tom Cairney has been offered a new contract at Fulham but is yet to put pen to paper on the deal amid interest from Wrexham.

    Cairney wanted by Wrexham
Now offered new deal by Fulham
But yet to respond to Cottagers

WHAT HAPPENED?

Fulham's captain has been targeted by Wrexham and been offered a lucrative contract following the club's promotion to the Championship. Cairney's current deal at Fulham expires this summer but he has now been handed a new deal. However, Cairney is yet to respond to the contract offer and is still considering a potential move to Wrexham, according to the Evening Standard.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Playing time is thought to be a major consideration for Cairney as he mulls over his future. The 34-year-old only made three Premier League starts last season for Fulham and game time is expected to be limited again if he does continue. However, a move to Wrexham would likely see Cairney go straight into the first team and potentially become a key figure for Phil Parkinson's side.

WHAT CAIRNEY SAID

Cairney spoke about his future at the very end of last season. He told the club's media: "We'll see what happens. We are still in talks, so it's a weird feeling right now. I don't know which way to go about it, obviously I want to thank a few people, but at the same time, we're still in talks."

WHAT NEXT FOR CAIRNEY

Cairney must now decide whether to continue with the Premier League club or look for a new challenge. He is one of several players being targeted by Wrexham as the Welsh side prepare for life in the Championship.

Fulham, Palace target move for Germany playmaker who brutally rejected Leeds
Fulham and Crystal Palace have joined the chase for in-demand Germany international Nadiem Amiri – and sources can reveal which of the pair are the most likely to pull off his signing.

The Mainz attacking midfielder is set to leave the Bundesliga this summer, with the Premier League clubs having already made their interest known.

Clubs on the continent, including in the Bundesliga, are also known admirers of Amiri, who sources have revealed can leave for a fee of around €18m (£15.1m, $20.5m) this summer.

Amiri has continued to impress this season, and with no release clause in his contract, his asking price means he won't be short of suitors.

His impressive form this season saw him rewarded with an international recall, although he will sit out his country's Nations League semi-final with Portugal on Wednesday night through a minor injury.

Palace have Amiri among their targets, but sources understand that it is Fulham that are pushing the most as they look to beef up their engine room.

Marco Silva continues to be linked with an exit, but the Fulham boss, who says he's staying put, has been promised funds to bolster.

Fulham sold Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich for £46m last summer and are looking to add fresh blood as part of a midfield revamp.

Amiri, 28, could potentially replace the long-serving Tom Cairney amid interest from ambitious Championship new boys Wrexham.

Fellow long-serving midfielder Harrison Reed is also likely to be on the move; a reunion with Scott Parker at newly-promoted Burnley on the cards.

Amiri to England? Second time lucky after brutal Leeds snub
If Amiri's name is familiar to English audiences, it might be off the back of the player's on/off transfer saga involving Leeds United two summers ago.

Back in the Championship and contemplating ways to strengthen their squad ahead of a promotion push under then-new manager Daniel Farke, Leeds struck a fee in the region of £6m to bring Amiri to Elland Road.

The player travelled to England, held talks with the Whites and was even reported to have agreed personal terms.

However, after wanting a clause put in his contract guaranteeing he could leave if Leeds did not secure promotion at the first attempt, the Whites backed out of a move. And he returned to then-club Bayer Leverkusen with his tail between his legs.

There had also been suggestions at the time that his wife – pregnant at the time – did not want to up sticks and relocate to West Yorkshire.

However, his time back at Leverkusen did not go to plan and after failing to convince Xabi Alonso of regular starts, he was soon on the move again – this time across Germany to Mainz.

Signing a deal to 2028, Amiri has since impressed, playing a part in 18 goals (nine scored, nine assists) from 47 appearances – 13 of which (eight goals, five assists) have come from 32 games this season.

But with Mainz now seemingly ready to sell, the seven-times capped Germany star could be set to seal a move to England at the second time of asking.

Three Fulham players Marco Silva could look to bring with him to Tottenham if he takes managerial job
Marco Silva has been heavily linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job, and should he take over at Hotspur Way, there are three Fulham stars he might want to bring with him to bolster the Spurs squad.

Ange Postecoglou remains manager of Tottenham Hotspur, but that could change in the coming weeks, with reports stating that Spurs have already decided to sack Postecoglou ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Several managers continue to be linked with the Tottenham job including Oliver Glasner, Simone Inzaghi, Andoni Iraola, Thomas Frank and Marco Silva.

The latter has done a great job at Fulham, leading the Cottagers to an 11th-place finish last season, with the London club even fighting for a spot in Europe at one point in the campaign.

Should Tottenham opt to sign Silva as their permanent manager, the Portuguese could bring three players who may improve the Spurs squad if they joined. Let us meet them...

Antonee Robinson could be strong competition for Destiny Udogie at Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur need another full-back this summer, particularly if Ben Davies leaves when his contract expires.

At the moment, Spurs have three recognised full-backs in Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence, with Archie Gray often filling in as a makeshift option.

All of that could change if Robinson joins Marco Silva, should he make a switch to Tottenham this summer.

Djed Spence is naturally a right-back, so if Robinson were to join Spurs with Marco Silva, we could see the American international come in and provide competition for Udogie, with Spence competing with Porro for the right-back spot.

Robinson has surely impressed, as he grabbed ten assists in the Premier League last season, the most by any defender, and the joint fourth-highest in the league. He would be a solid addition.

Rodrigo Muniz could act as a backup striker option for Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign Rodrigo Muniz ahead of the summer window, but it was reported that a move away from Fulham was very unlikely.

The former Flamengo man would need some persuading if he were to leave the Cottagers and join Spurs, but one would want to believe that if Silva were to persuade him to make a switch to N17, the Brazilian would be open to jumping ship.

Indeed, Muniz has enjoyed his spell as a forward in the Premier League at Fulham under Marco Silva, where he scored nine Premier League goals in 26 games in 2023/24 and then eight in 31 games in 2024/25.

Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Spurs, and if he were to leave, perhaps bringing in Muniz as backup would be a move Marco Silva considered.

Andreas Pereira could offer useful squad depth at Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur, for sure, would be on the lookout for a player who can fill in as a ten, given James Maddison's injury troubles, and Silva might fancy bringing in a man he knows as a backup to the Englishman.

Pound for pound, Maddison is the better player, but as a backup option, Andreas Pereira could prove a smart piece of business if he were to make a switch with Silva.

The former Manchester United man brings with him versatility, as he is capable of playing on the right, as a ten, an eight, and a six – qualities that are a dream for any manager.

He did manage to get himself eight goal contributions last season, after scoring twice and assisting six times. In the two seasons before that, Pereira got himself respectable ten-goal contributions in back-to-back campaigns, not bad for a backup option.

Fulham 'pushing hard' for Amiri deal
Fulham are pushing hard to sign Mainz attacking midfielder Nadiem Amiri, according to a Teamtalk report.

The Whites are battling FA Cup winners Crystal Palace and several Bundesliga sides to bring the Germany international to Craven Cottage. Mainz are open to a deal for the 28 year-old, who misses tonight's Nations League semi-final against Portugal with a minor injury, for around £15m.

Amiri, who can operate as a number ten, a more conventional central midfielder or sitting in front of the back four, has scored nine goals – and contributed nine assists – in 47 appearances for Mainz, who finished sixth and qualified for the Conference League play-offs this year. He has also played more than a hundred games for TSG Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen. The classy midfielder, whose proposed £6m move to Leeds United collapsed at the eleventh hour a couple of years ago, has won seven senior caps for his country.

Teamtalk's report suggests that Fulham are the frontrunners in the chase for energetic midfielder, who was selected in this season's Bundesliga team of the season, as Marco Silva looks to revamp his midfield for the 2025/2026 campaign.

Tom Cairney considering 'lucrative' Wrexham offer as Fulham announce contract decision
Wrexham are looking to make big additions this summer with Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney thought to be one key target.

Phil Parkinson has a busy and potentially exciting transfer window ahead of him as Wrexham prepare for life in the Championship.

Wrexham have secured three straight promotions and are now being linked with some pretty big names.

Danny Ings has been linked with Wrexham as he prepares to leave West Ham United on a free transfer.

The mere notion of signing Danny Ings just a few years ago would have been completely bonkers but now seems more than plausible.

Wrexham are also keen on Tommy Doyle, with the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder valued at around £3million – which would be a new club-record move.

Fulham announce Tom Cairney decision
Doyle is far from the only midfielder linked with Wrexham, as Parkinson weighs up major additions to his engine room.

Reports in May suggested that Wrexham wanted Fulham captain Tom Cairney – and were ready to offer him huge wages.

Fulham fans chanted for Cairney to stay as he left the pitch following their final-day clash with Manchester City.

Cairney is out of contract this summer and Wrexham have been waiting on Fulham's decision over his deal.

Fulham have now communicated their retained list, confirming that Cairney has been offered a new contract.

The 34-year-old only started three Premier League games this past season, coming off the bench in another 22 games.

Fulham fans absolutely love Cairney, but the interest from Wrexham leaves him with a lot to think about.

Tom Cairney weighing up his options
The London Evening Standard claim that Cairney is 'considering options', as his game time at Fulham is likely to be 'limited' if he signs on.

The report adds that Cairney does have a 'lucrative offer' from Wrexham on the table, which certainly complicates his thought process.

Cairney has become a modern-day Fulham hero, spending 10 years at Craven Cottage and racking up more than 350 appearances.

Fulham have been through players and managers in that time, but Cairney has been a constant.

Staying in West London no doubt appeals to Cairney on that basis, but he surely won't want another season of starting just three games.

Wrexham can offer a key role in Parkinson's side, a hefty pay packet and the chance to be part of a truly special project.

Cairney is surely tempted to bring his Fulham career to an end at 10 years and move on to try something new at Wrexham.

The time has come for Cairney to make a decision, but Wrexham are certainly right in the mix for his signature.
