That was much harder work than it should have been. Fair play to Cambridge for their effort but we really should have been much better. We are through though, so onwards we go.

Really miss Iwobi, he is so important to Fulham, gets us ticking.

2nd half was a fair bit better, that first half was Quite Poor.

Caught second half, was far more nerve wracking then I expected. Banana skin averted, not much more to say.

On tonight's evidence you can see why players need time to bed in, as Kevin and Chukwueze looked a bit uncertain, particularly Chukwueze.

Cambridge played well.

Plenty of fringe players got minutes on the pitch, particularly Robinson and our two CBs. Will be helpful for when we get into January.
Provided Kevin is not injured mission accomplished.
A strong second XI but no one really put in a strong case to be in the starting XI!
In contrast Burnley out to Cardiff.

Well our two most expensive players haven't done anything to advance their claims for a starting berth. Didn't know what to expect from Kevin but looks like he will need time. As for ESR..............very disappointing.

Up against a classic Neil Harris team. Organised and playing prehistoric football but giving no quarter.

Ultimately job done but I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed that 90 mins

So far five PL teams have been knocked out of this season's Carabao Cup by lower league teams. And there will be more.

I'd rather scrape a win with a poor performance than become the sixth PL team to be knocked out by a lower league side this season.

Cambridge RB Bennett had Kevin in his pocket.

Thought Cuenca was MOM, Diop a close second.  Lecomte looked very composed and dealt with what came his way.  Cainey & Reed not bad but couldn't unlock any doors.
