Jiminez will equal the Premier League record of Cole Palmer (12 penalties in a row) if he scores his next one. His last penalty before Monday was almost a year ago though.

He is currently number 1 for success rate of converted (Premier League) penalties:

    1. Raul Jiminez/Yaya Toure - 100% scored (11/11)

    2. Matt le Tissier - 96.2% scored (25/26)

    3. Danny Murphy - 94.7% scored (18/19)

    4. Callum Wilson - 94.1% scored (16/17)

    5. James Beattie - 94.1% scored (16/17)

    6. Julian Dicks - 93.8% scored (15/16)

    7. Cole Palmer - 92.9% scored (13/14)

    8. Bukayo Saka - 92.3% scored (12/13)

    9. Thierry Henry - 92% scored (23/25)

List provided by data analysts Opta, external from players to have taken 10 plus Premier League penalties.

I am presuming Murphy scoring at Man City from the rebound was his only "missed" penalty? I wonder if that was the most pressure kick he's ever taken.

Also, i was wondering where Raul would rank as far as great "Headerers" in our history? Comparing him to Brian McBride etc.

He is so cool at pens. One remembers Julian Dicks' penalty against Schmeichel. It was probaly 200 miles an hour down the middle and Schmeichel looked like he moved his hand away or it would have been broken off!!
Nick Bateman "knows his footie"

MLT only missing one out of 26 is incredible. Wonder how Raul and Yaya would do if they took as many as that.

Keepers nowadays probably a bit tougher mind you.

Le Tissier was an amazing footballer.
Made the game look easy to play.
Overall 53/54 penalties scored.
The 1 saved was .........

Might want to correct the misspellings of his name. It is not Jimines (as per the title of this thread) and neither is it Jiminez (as per the opening post). The correct spelling is Jimenez.

Was that by Mark Crossley?

Nevermind the stats for me Berbatov is the best penalty taker I have ever seen. He never looks like he can miss the penalty.

Raul is right next to him, such a confident penalty taker.

We've had some poor penalty takers over the years as well

Just to clarify Palmers record is most penalties from the start before he missed. MLT obviously scored at least 13 in a row having only missed 1 from 26. MLT missed his third penalty in the Premier league then scored 23 on the trot.

Yes  Bog.
Crossley for Not Forest.
Quite remarkable success rate.
