If anyone knows if Alan the station manager at Teddington Station still goes to Fulham....I remember asking him for a single to Waterloo & he'd reply thats £380... didn't really know him - but always used to see him in the Hammersmith end & he was a gentle soul

He was ripping you off if he was charging you almost £400, gentle soul or not. I supposed he used the profit to pay for his match ticket. Still, if he knew you were always warming up to play, he must have assumed you were a filthy rich footballer and saw no harm in a little wealth redistribution.
