If I believed in reincarnation I would wish to come back as a racehorse. Most of them are cossetted well beyond the duties of their stable lads and lasses.

What would you have happen to the thousands of racehorses competing under both codes and to the thousands making their living doing what they love?

PS.. My late dad is now Oscar's Brother and he told me he has a good ew chance.

Why?
Whipping horses and forcing them to jump fences is cruel , just for the financial gain of punters !

As a racehorse owner I think I know a bit about racing. What is your involvement that gives you your know how?
I've watched horse racing on tv so you don't have to be "involved " to know how cruel it is ! Many horses have died racing , but you would know this , in the name of so called sport ! Only good bit is when a jockey gets thrown off his horse !
You CANNOT make a horse jump a fence.... that's just stupid.... you are aware that horses refuse to jump, or just pull-up... watching a few races on 'tv' probably fails to provide actual facts...
Everyone to their own opinions, but always worth reading some facts first surely?

You also see riderless horses continue on and jump fences..
No jockey, no whip and no reason other than they like to run and jump!
Nope, they are trained to jump. Their natural behaviour is to run around obstacles and punishment is 100% part of their Pavlovian training.  It is the effect of that you are seeing when they continue to jump.

HORSEMEAT?   I have eaten it once, in Amsterdam.  The dutch lads I was with did not tell me until afterwards.  It was delicious.

However, I did not eat it again, for obvious reasons.

I'm assuming nobody has a horse that they think is worth a shout.... I haven't even looked at the runner's & riders yet

Approximately 200 race horses die each year in the uk , fact , but you would know this ! No apology from me for being an animal lover . As for whipping these beautiful animals , why ?
The whips are waved rather than hit the horses these days.

Listen, I'm an animal lover as well, but these horses (same as dogs) are bred for their sport.

If you want to stop it, then you need to stop the breeding ie at source!

The majority of whipping a horse is to keep its line, so that it doesn't stray left or right.
I am aware 200 horses die each year, yes... but I also know over 750 pedestrians and cyclists die each year from being hit by cars and lorries... but we don't ban driving...
Not worth an argument, and millions of people love a flutter ...
Horses also die on the flat too....
More over jumps, yes.

Unfortunately those horses didn't have a choice but were trained to run and jump and died for sport.

If it's soft going then I think Haiti Couleurs has a good chance.
Need to see if it rains up there!

You might change your mind when the vet strolls into the stables with his castration equipment!
