Very sad... only 72...
Loved him as PM in Little Britain.
Not a buffy fan, but a good actor.
Only lost his partner in December.

He lives/lived about a 20 minute walk from me and I can confirm that he was an absolutely smashing bloke.  Always on hand to help in the village or open a fete etc.

Absolutley no airs and graces about him at all.

Its a sad one, this.

I remember him from Buffy, and also he was in the inbetweeners movie (as Wills Dad).
His daughter is an actress too, who indecently played Carly in inbetweeners and had a decent stint in Emmerdale.....

Well,being one of the elder FOF,I recall him in the late 80's in the Nescafe Gold Blend Coffee adverts with the gorgeous Sharon Maughan.
It ran for 6 years (not bad for a ad) with a "will they/ won't they get it together theme
A good start to his career
Sharon was and still is married to Trevor Eve aka Shoestring, Waking The Dead etc.

Wow....I was trying to remember that ad. It was more interesting than the Soaps....and I must find Shoestring episodes now instead of watching the World Cup....errr...thanks
