With regards to Arbeloa thinking about it more there are a lot of red flags? Six months as a B Team manager at Madrid then jettisoned in to first team? Is that significant enough to be manager of an established premier league club? If rumour is right he plays the press we have a squad where a fair few it won't suit for sure? Financially you can't just write X Y Z off.
If we can snag Poch then I would accept the possibility of a slow start probably or slightly disorganised one knowing long term we are likely to improve.
Silva has laid the foundations and to lose all that on an experimental manager is a big call.

I have no inside knowledge at all but, just based on general life experience, I fear that these rumours have gone on for  so long without an announcement that it might not be happening. At the moment, I'd take Arbeloa in a heartbeat and I was underwhelmed by him as a choice when his name first came up but, let's face it, we're now in a desperate position.

We have little to no chance of getting any decent players in without them knowing who the manager is. We'll just end up with dross mercenaries if we're recruiting players through our board and owners.

Let's hope I'm totally wrong and we've had a manager in the bag for months, he's been talking to new recruits with our board about his vision but it can't be done in public for contractual reasons. Meanwhile, on Planet Fulham...

Dont weat it most decent players are at the world cup so most transfers arent going to happen umtil after that
